[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: You may look at the website and be like, oh that's a really nicely designed website.

[00:00:03] [SPEAKER_00]: But then when you look on the back end and what Google is seeing...

[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_01]: It can be saster.

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_00]: They have absolutely no idea what it is that you do.

[00:00:11] [SPEAKER_04]: How do we strategize and set the business out for a success?

[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_04]: SEO tends to be one of the least talked about.

[00:00:19] [SPEAKER_00]: On average, we see an increase in phone calls and website visits within 60 to 90 days.

[00:00:24] [SPEAKER_02]: You can not know what is the difference between the local business SEO and online business.

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Because people think they have to put out so much content, the content becomes useless.

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Super random question. Do you like lower the rings?

[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_00]: No.

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_02]: And why should I pay attention to SEO rather than the other ones?

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_00]: For any business, the foundation for the SEO needs to be there.

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_00]: And that is...

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_04]: What's up everybody, welcome back to Content Is Profit.

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Actually, more than they are five.

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_02]: I got married at September 4th.

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm racing for some reason.

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_02]: So, makes...

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't forget my anniversary.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_02]: That's one of the tips I got.

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Do not forget your anniversary.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, feels amazing.

[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Feel good.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Soccer games is never new like fidget and thing now.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I always say ring.

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting used to it.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you should.

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_02]: I get forgetting mine.

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_02]: It's my gym bag.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, guys, I'm stoked.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_04]: We have a local guest here in studio with us today.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_04]: We met fun fact because of our producer Mava.

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_04]: She ended up working with her and she's like,

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_04]: you guys need to bring this person to your show.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_04]: She knows a ton.

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_04]: She's going to help your audience.

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm super excited because that's how we met.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_04]: We jumped on a little call and we're like,

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_04]: you are the perfect fit for this show.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_04]: So her superpower is helping a local business

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_04]: to drive more appointments and calls.

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's go.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_04]: She also helps agencies leverage the power of local SEO.

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm super interested because recently,

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_04]: we're transitioning to a local business.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_04]: That is true.

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Pimpimpam was this invited here a whole secret plan

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_02]: to just like get us a shrapnel.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, the secret.

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_04]: She also has over 10 years of experience

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_04]: of online marketing at cheap and 400% ROI.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_04]: That's pretty impressive.

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Pretty client, by the way.

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Almost like front-current, you know,

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_04]: that you can go to, right on your hand.

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_04]: And then also she also founded maps,

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Matt and his as a way to teach agency owners

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_04]: the power of local SEO for small businesses.

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm so stoked because my past these local businesses

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_04]: we could never figure that one out

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_04]: in the gym in the show where we were.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_04]: It was like corporate, corporate owns all the agency accounts

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_04]: and all this stuff and we couldn't really play with it

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_04]: and now I'm super stoked because we have you guys.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_04]: So please welcome our new local MVP on content's

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_04]: perfect friend, Korean Fisher.

[00:03:05] Yeah.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome Korean.

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you guys so excited to be on.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know you just got married congratulations.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, thank you.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate that.

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_02]: I should have gone go around and else in it.

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_02]: I live to do that.

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome in somewhere.

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_02]: So he just got married.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_02]: That's up.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_02]: But appreciate it.

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Official hype man of the show.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_00]: I have them to love marriage.

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_00]: It's awesome.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_02]: So I'll definitely get some tips.

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I know you have three kids, you know,

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_02]: you've been married for a while.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_02]: So after this, you can share with me some of the tips.

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I hope the anniversary one is a good one.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_04]: So, Korean, I'm very excited because I don't think,

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, we were born in online,

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_04]: where you know, we were, you know,

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_04]: click funnel gratilates, I guess.

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Like an online marketing.

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_04]: We're also victims of bromarking for a long time.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, we started with the social media.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Business, business, business, business.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Hold on.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_04]: I got to clarify.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_04]: We're not bromarkers.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_04]: This name came up is like, we sold something.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_04]: And then after we sold the package,

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_04]: we're like, we need an official company.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_04]: So we ran and registered and was like,

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_04]: what's the name of the company?

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, we're brothers and we do business.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_04]: So, that's right.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_04]: That's very good.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_04]: That's very good.

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_04]: That story I think is in episode 100,

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_04]: where you can 500 something.

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_04]: So, just a reminder.

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_02]: We're in the bait into do a DBA called two brothers media.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a little more official.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but what do you think, Korean?

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that one of it.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Business process, catchy too.

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Business process is like the personality of the show.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_04]: I guess we're together.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, the power of the business.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's bring your back.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's bring your back to Korean.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_04]: So obviously, I'm excited because about a year ago,

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_04]: we ended up purchasing this local business, right?

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_04]: And it has been an interesting transition

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_04]: between servicing people online, right?

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's consulting, coaching,

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_04]: or even the service that we offer to now

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_04]: having to manage a brick and mortar.

[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_04]: And dealing with all of that, right?

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_04]: And Google has been great for us.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_04]: But it was because of the setup

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_04]: that the other person had before us.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_04]: And we're total new new businesses.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_04]: And on this lack of local competition in a way, I feel like.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, right.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_04]: That too.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_04]: So a lot of people that listen to the show,

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_04]: that it might be small business owners as well.

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_04]: They might have a brick and mortar.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_04]: We know of many listeners that have brick and mortar

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_04]: and they're trying to figure out the content game for them.

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_04]: And how do leverage Google?

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_04]: And somehow, it seems like it's like this fog,

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_04]: riding front of the business owner and Google

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_04]: and it's like this fight that I need to figure out

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_04]: the algorithm.

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I need to fight the algorithm and raise.

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_04]: And I have a feeling that it's like,

[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_04]: we just need to collaborate with this platform.

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Right? So with your experience, right?

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I would love to dive deep into that and you know,

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_04]: into what you do to achieve that 400% ROI

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_04]: with the people that you help.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_04]: And small businesses on where can they do to do that?

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_04]: So how did everything start for you?

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Sure.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, everything started about seven years ago, almost seven years ago.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_00]: When I had been building websites since I was like 16,

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_00]: kind of dabbleing.

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_04]: You also looked like 19.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_04]: So I was like, three years ago.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was only the three.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_00]: But just dabbling.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_00]: And this was before you had dragon drop builders.

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think team-melling it looked awful.

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But I was trying.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, fast forward went to college for marketing.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_00]: All of that had a corporate job for three years.

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I said, I never want to do this again.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_00]: It was literally soul-sucking.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I was sitting in a cubicle and we had our first child at that time.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And I had to leave her after eight weeks and go back to work.

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's I hated every minute of it.

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Then I got hired at a startup company where I was the only employee

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_00]: to grow their software that they had.

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_00]: It was for a very, very niche audience.

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And I worked there for a year.

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_00]: And I literally sold to the entire available audience.

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So I was kind of sitting there twilling my thumbs.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_00]: But I wasn't going to tell them, you know,

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what this is called as to.

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_00]: They knew it.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00]: So I knew it was commenting it was inevitable.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And I was pregnant with our second daughter at the time,

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_00]: about seven months pregnant and I got laid off.

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And I felt a piece about it.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_00]: There I wasn't scared.

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I felt that as my opportunity to really go full force with my agency

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_00]: and go full time.

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And God closes one door.

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: He opens another.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, and you know, that's like I said,

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_00]: that's been seven years now.

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And we've taken off since and I have about 10 employees.

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_00]: We serve, we have service over 200 probably over 200 clients now.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: So cool.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: We have a ton of agency, white label partners.

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_02]: That's amazing.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty curious on that decision-making process, right?

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_02]: When you got laid off.

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Clearly, you had this skill of building websites.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I feel like SEO is a subscilled that comes with their right.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_02]: You start learning as you go.

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Was there anything else that you had in mind that you're like,

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_02]: oh, maybe it can go here, start this other thing, right?

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, shiny object syndrome is pretty natural.

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I feel like foreign entrepreneurs.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Or you are like, I know this is my expertise.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I know this is where I can bring value.

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going to lean into this one.

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_00]: So we do more than just website and development and SEO.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_00]: So we do PPC work.

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And we also do made advertising.

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I actually got started with websites and Facebook advertising.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And then I saw the need.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And I saw the lack of knowledge within the agency community

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_00]: with SEO in particular.

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_00]: And because I was working with local businesses,

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_00]: they need that.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And there's honestly a lot of them were being ripped off

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_00]: by people that said they knew what they were doing.

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And I saw that.

[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I went full force at really learning it,

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_00]: implementing it and building our processes.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'll tell you that our SEO processes are the most robust.

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's our most robust SOP out of any service that we offer.

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Because it is a lot.

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of agencies don't want to learn it.

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And fulfill it because there is quite a bit involved with it.

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And hence our white labeling services.

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_00]: But for a local business, the return on investment

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_00]: for them is insane, especially long-term.

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Even if they do correct SEO with us,

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_00]: for example, for six months.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And then they don't do it again.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_00]: The row has continues.

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I guess it's not considered row as because that's return on

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_00]: at spend.

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but the return on investment are the rough.

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_02]: They return on SEO.

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll figure it one out.

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll get it next time.

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_02]: You're not a dad yet.

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_04]: You're not allowed to do that job.

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_04]: It's due to the right amount of time.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's the return on investment for them is insane.

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And I always encourage them to do local SEO or to implement SEO.

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Because you don't want to have to pay Google forever.

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_00]: You don't unless you are seeing a significant return.

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_00]: But there are a lot of these local businesses.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_00]: The cost is becoming unattainable.

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Google just continues to increase their ads.

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_04]: So I went up in a little picture here, maybe for people listening of like,

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_04]: maybe the Afu-Liko system, right?

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Like that, you know, we might be in the industry and that might be clear.

[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_04]: But I remember our first product was going to local businesses and shoot a lot of

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Containing one day different formats, different things.

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_04]: And then we will edit that out and then they'll have content for the full week.

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Right?

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_04]: And what we encounter having conversations with owners is that content was like the

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_04]: process of their priorities, right?

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Like they had, you know, payroll issues, like stuff things.

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_04]: And we had to like train these, you know, our staff and we have to

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Operations and if it's a franchise that to deal with corporate and there's like a lot

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_04]: of like, you know, red tape that I have to go through to actually going to

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_04]: a local ad agency and work with a local vendor for example or

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Returns and declines and all these stuff.

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_04]: And at the end of the day, they're like, oh, we still have to do content.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_04]: And then content on its own is massive, right?

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_04]: You have your social content, you have your paydats, you have your SEO, you have whatever.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Like the PR, like there's many, many things that that business, a local business

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_04]: don't really can do and it can be very overwhelming.

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_04]: So I think barrier of entry, you know, social content can be a very little

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Bear entry because now most people know how to use social media, right?

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Very superficial, like people know how to take a picture.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_04]: They know how to post that.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_04]: You know how to write something, right?

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_04]: But then when it comes to okay, how do we strategize and set the business out for

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_04]: a success for long term success, do SEO tends to be one of the least

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_04]: talked about or like least attractive, I think because you know, you have

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_04]: the tick talks of the world.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_04]: You have, you know, your Facebook ads maybe maybe you don't have an educational

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_04]: aspect to it.

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe you cannot do it like a lead magnet for example.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Or you don't even know what a lead magnet is, right?

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Some of the things.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_04]: So how do you normally encourage like, do people come to you already knowing, hey,

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_04]: I need SEO or how do you have that conversation and help them understand like, hey,

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_04]: this is something that we need to start working on long term and have that

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_04]: conversation and then remove the friction for us, like starting the podcast was all

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_04]: about removing the friction from creating content consistently.

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, right?

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Why can we do on a weekly basis that can put our message out there, for example, right?

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_04]: How do you have that conversation with like a local business owners that might be

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_04]: overwhelmed?

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_04]: That might have a lot of things in their play, but this is super important for that

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_04]: long term.

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Ecompounce, right?

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_04]: It's still there.

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_04]: It works.

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_04]: We see it.

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Like on our side, we get two to three funcals every single week of new people

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_04]: finding out about the studio wanted to learn more, right?

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a great question.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_00]: We get people coming to us thinking, I know what they want and they have no idea

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_00]: what it is that they actually need.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_00]: So what I do to first week we kind of complete an audit to see where they're at now,

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_00]: you know, how are they ranking?

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_00]: What is their website?

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Look like all that good stuff.

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_00]: But in order to demonstrate the need for search engine optimization,

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_00]: first of all, I never call it SEO to my potential clients because most of them

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_00]: have no idea what that means.

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Or they've been like I said before taken advantage of by a previous company.

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So what we do is we look at the missed opportunities.

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to see how many people are actually searching for your services

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_00]: in your area right now and you know, so we'll look at those different keywords,

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_00]: see how their searchings, see how many searches are happening in the surrounding cities.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_00]: From there, we're going to take a look at where you actually ranking in for those terms.

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So you have people searching for X-term, where are you showing up right now?

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_00]: And most of the time, you know, they're not showing up or they're showing up occasionally

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_00]: and not very often.

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And their competition is way ahead of them.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_00]: And when they visually see that, they're okay.

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_00]: This is important.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_00]: That's the why I'm not getting calls from Google.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_04]: This is like the traffic that we're that we're losing, you know.

[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_04]: So interesting.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe a little bit more technical and we can, you know, zoom out or zoom in as necessary.

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_04]: What's the first step apart from like calling you right?

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to leave all the links right below if you're interested, please go ahead and

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_04]: and click and get that console going because like I think education is number one.

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like what do we sit like where on point A, we want to go to point B.

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_04]: But after that, what are some like maybe couple steps that people can do to, you know,

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_04]: okay, this is we're doing the right thing.

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Is it that we need to push, you know, content every single week, right?

[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Is there one time almost like set up on the website with like these different keywords?

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_04]: And then we optimize over time.

[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Is it going to take a ton of time like what are some things if we campaign the picture of like,

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_04]: okay, this is actually going to be a lot of work or it could be something that we can do locally

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_04]: and then get ready to, you know, get some resources and go and invest with a company that can do this for us.

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would say just something that you can do on your own is making sure that your Google business listing is built out and established and optimized.

[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And so what that means is when you are looking at your business on Google, you should see a little listing of, you know,

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00]: if you're looking up your address and the reviews, that's your Google business listing.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_00]: You want to make sure the number one, you have the correct main category selected depending on what it is that you do.

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_00]: There may only be one available main category or there may be multiple available main categories.

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's going to be one of the most important ranking factors in the beginning is selecting the correct main category for your Google business listing from there.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And the Google offers the ability to build out services.

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So building out those services, working in the keywords that people are actually searching for into those services.

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Conducting keyword research, there are several different tools that you can do or use to conduct keyword research.

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_00]: One of them is called keywords everywhere.

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It's an extension with Google Chrome.

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And so you can download keywords everywhere and search searching terms that you think people are using to look for your business.

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_00]: And it will populate other suggested recommended terms.

[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So you want to compile a list of those keywords people are actually using to search for your service don't just assume that you know.

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And then work that into the content on your website.

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Work that into the content on Google posts be consistent with Google posting and working with what is a Google post.

[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_03]: This is all new by the way we do so.

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so you got to think of it before.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_00]: So Google think of it kind of like a social media post almost almost like a Facebook post.

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_00]: If you go to your Google business profile, you can create an update it's called and you can attach an image and content there.

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Within the content you want to work in those keywords that you've researched.

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_00]: You want to include a link to maybe your website or home page or one of the service pages.

[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_00]: You can even use hashtags in the post as well.

[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, so cool.

[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Why is this not talked more in our web?

[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm very curious, you know, earlier you mentioned that the ROI is long term, right?

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. And I feel like nowadays everything is fairly quick.

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_02]: People want things quick, right? I think that's why you know, advertising, Facebook advertising, all that stuff, you know, social media advertising is so appealing for people because they're like, well, I, you know, this is random example obviously.

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_02]: But I invest 20 bucks and I can see if I can make 21, you know, and I like I start putting money into it. Of course that takes time to develop a system that works on a lot of resources.

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm curious on how to get people invested into that long term ROI because they might be in a situation where they're like, well, we need something now, you know, we need something quicker.

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm just on how that part of the conversation goes, right? Somebody that is listening right now, they might be thinking, okay, but why not go with, you know, PPC, you know, social media ads and why should I pay attention to SEO rather than than the other ones.

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Right. Well, you know, time goes by very quickly.

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. You know, you may maybe you do need overnight calls coming in and that's fine. So yes, put some money towards ads.

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_00]: But three, six months down the line, you could have started that process three, six months ago and been in a much, much better position.

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I mean, it's it's really just showing them the miss like I said, the missed opportunities and miss potential.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_00]: And I tell our clients that on average we see an increase in phone calls and website visits within 60 to 90 days.

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So some of our clients a lot quicker. It just depends. There's a lot different factors involved.

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. But across the board, like I said, there were turn on investment for showing up in Google as long as the search volume is there.

[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's it's unmatched.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And especially like I said before because Google continues to raise a cost if they're ads.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_00]: If you like if you want to show up on Google period, I recommend SEO as a way to go.

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's not it's not just Google too. It's being our efforts work on being on Yahoo and I see it in our reports and our analytics reports when we start putting work into showing up.

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_00]: People are on being they are on duck.go.

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. And our clients get traffic from these other search engines.

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. I'm so I need to go search some stuff on being out on thing I've ever used at once.

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_02]: But I know some people do. I'm actually fairly curious on, well, I should just blind come to the question that had it was a pretty good question.

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_04]: We have a saying, but if you forget where you about to say is a lie.

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_04]: No, no, no, no.

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_04]: There's a good question.

[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll remember and then I'll get back to this.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_04]: So here's a question that we've had from a few people and then like I'm also not 100% on this right.

[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_04]: So you have you mentioned obviously war press as a you know going into like where do we build this site right?

[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_04]: And a lot of people business owner in my higher in agency and they might use war prison might use weeks they might use, you know, go high level they might use like these different builders right.

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I had a call with go high level and I asked this question. I was like, hey, we have this site for local business that it's already been built.

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_04]: My fear is like if I move platforms for example, right? I'm going to lose the ranking of that business.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Right. And sometimes when a business owner have to do a pivot like that or they want to update their site, maybe they want to take a stab at it.

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Is that something that they lose like the SEO from like all side to new site and then.

[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Does this like drag and drop platforms that make it really easy and pretty to create a site that you know it looks decent.

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Do they have the full SEO, you know capabilities, then maybe a war press site that might be a little more intimidating to create or like more robust.

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_04]: What's the work because I've been on the other side of the pitch where you know I feel like we are so technically, you know, advanced in a way that we could create like a good looking site that you know provides on the information.

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_04]: It works with a CRM that we have on the back end.

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_04]: But then they're like, you should not build there, you should build on war press because of xyc, right?

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_04]: What's your point of view there? Like if we transfer it, do we lose that information is almost like SEO is like a layer behind the site right that it like people call like from that like how does that work.

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a very loaded question.

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Sorry sorry we got break it down.

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of these answers are be like it depends right.

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so I'll use for an example most of our local business clients when they come to us their website just does not have good rankings or it's not built properly.

[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Can we can we use our example for example, like, can we go specific on that because I feel like that has been similar things so there's two scenarios one scenario.

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Local business so we have let's say studio partners with Zaucom right.

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_04]: So there's some like testimonials services that we offer, but there's no content there's like no blog, no nothing right.

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_04]: And then there's also doesn't connect with a CRM.

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_04]: We don't collect leads from there right a lot of the leads that come to studio are through Google for example, right that people search and it's there.

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_04]: But we want to be able to connect that to maybe give a lead mind if like how can people start a podcast right how do we start a production and learn how to do this right and then they can come to us.

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_04]: We have our agency side on go high level for example, I don't know if you're familiar with them but it's like a high level everyday.

[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh perfect so.

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Like the transition that we have in mind is like unifying these seven tools that we have for booking appointments and all this stuff into go high level because these things with our agency work that we do at the same time.

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_04]: And then but there's what we're ranking we're like number one part of a studio when you search that in Jacksonville, all this is what people tell me right I'm very scared that we're going to do that ranking for example.

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And the main site is hosted on.

[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_04]: On WordPress.

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Or yes.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so I don't recommend moving it to go a high level.

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of those drag and drop builders are still just not there in terms of SEO capabilities even wicks I mean wicks has been around forever.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_00]: They've gotten better and if you need to throw something together yeah use it but for long term.

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, capabilities and looking at your long term return on investment.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_00]: WordPress is still the way to go.

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And I know that's not what everyone wants to hear especially if you know how to use a drag and drop builder in that platform obviously it's a lot easier.

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_00]: But it doesn't mean that you can't connect those lead magnets to WordPress site which is what we do all the time.

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean you can't use a zap to connect go high level to your WP form or whatever.

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_00]: You can absolutely do all that but your main SEO efforts happen on the WordPress site.

[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Nice sense.

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Because I also see like for example for website for podcasts for example right like you know you have this incredible sites that import all your RSS feeding to the website.

[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_04]: For example I didn't import into YouTube videos right and it looks all pretty and stuff.

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_04]: So I'm just questioning like what's the like they give you an I see your ranking like 98% like for example right we've see it with the shows in the studio but then when you go look at the analytics.

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's like there's barely any traffic here maybe looking you know maybe the content is not optimized but again we don't have the back end works right so.

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm very concerned I guess for also like the people that ask questions around this we've been in the position two words like I might actually investing my time on my resources into building this stuff and this platforms.

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_04]: When in fact it's just like a bunch of smoke right and it's like not really going to give me a lot of results right right so I really I really want to be an optimizing to for long term because I definitely continue to learn term.

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Right I'll say for local businesses specifically and even looking at the studio.

[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_00]: The main.

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Um pages that we look at on a local businesses website are the homepage and the main service pages.

[00:26:54] [SPEAKER_00]: You may have a lot of other additional.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Um like pages whether it be blog post or even just you know random pages on this about me page or whatever on the website but the main pages that were focused on optimizing are the homepage and the main service pages.

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Um so all things aside that's really all you have to in the beginning at least that's yeah.

[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_00]: We are main focus and that's going to produce the quickest results if you get those pages.

[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Optimize awesome that's a really good tip let's go.

[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I'm curious you know talking about like this smoke and some of these pages.

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_02]: For our podcast for example and I don't know I get this might be a little bit out of the room.

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I might be maybe a tangent right now but there's pages like these aggregators are like podcast pages dot com or podcast page dot com but you pretty much like.

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Submigure podcasts and they grab all the information on the kind of like put it all in there.

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Do those work for a CO purposes as well right like are they good or would you just still stick to putting it in WordPress.

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Put that tab that says you know podcast and then kind of like added there as their own individual blogs.

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_00]: That would be considered like a back link.

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Backlink.

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_00]: And in the world of local businesses citation business citations backlinks in the podcast world yeah that would be considered a backlink.

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Interesting.

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And yes it does affect your SEO.

[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And yes so you want to get as many of those so having one of those pages would be a bit official.

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_02]: What I call a castor's on one of us.

[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes um you don't just want to go out and purchase 2000 backlinks though yeah not knowing what you're doing because you could actually hurt your site.

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah rather than help it.

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_00]: So you know what we do whenever we take on a new client we do create a lot of those citations business citations and backlinks but we are focused on getting higher.

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_00]: And we are quality ones and ones that make sense for that business.

[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_02]: All right I know that was a little bit of a tangent a little bit of a selfish selfish question.

[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember the question that I had but I improved that a little bit.

[00:29:11] [SPEAKER_02]: So because you know you talked about the garlic they initial set up right and people that might have you know limited resources and bandwidth instead of their business because they're doing all those things.

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Obviously the right solution is to call Korean a work with it.

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_02]: But you know if they want to get started right once they do the keywords research.

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_02]: They have to this is out of my knowledge right I'm assuming here you have to have some sort of consistency creating some sort of content right maybe blogs right or content somewhere else so they can back link you again this is all based on my very limited knowledge.

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_02]: How like what would be a good.

[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Content plan for people right like I said like try to create one piece of week right like something by weekly or like made just one long very long piece.

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_02]: A month.

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I would say for majority of local businesses you actually do not need to create blogs.

[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh wow.

[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah you don't have to and like you said I think that's that's one thing that scares a lot of people so they don't get started because they think that's a lot of people.

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh now I've got us you know feels like a big commitment yes a huge commitment I got to write two blogs a week now I can't do that is too one trick you don't have to.

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Now obviously if we take you on as a client we do work consistently every month but one of those things for most of our businesses is not blogs it's not blog writing.

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_00]: We have not seen that move the needle enough for local businesses to make it worth the time.

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Wow yeah that's.

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Beath Buster.

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I feel like.

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Made busted.

[00:30:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I know.

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_04]: That's really good I think you know I remember having a conversation with somebody I would met in a event Michelle and she has a local business was like a kind of this business right and.

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_04]: That's one of our concerns everybody kept telling your head you need a podcast hey you need to blog everything a week hey you do it and remember they call Gary Vee approach you know.

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh you've got to be everywhere all the time.

[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah and he's a play of like capacity and resources at the end of the day right and I remember the first time that we talked where.

[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_04]: We ended up jumping on our call together two years just took a chop to see how we're doing and I was like how's it going like you guys ended up launching and she's like no we're still like thinking about the idea two years right and I can't.

[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Just imagine the pressure on like the way like that's probably a daily thought right maybe for a look a lot of local businesses to where it's like man like we need to do like this stuff but we can't just get to it right it's just like really frustrating.

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_04]: And and I remember again without any background on any of this what we just okay we just worked behind you know to figure out like a content system that worked for her right and she's like well it turns out that she had no equipment to the podcast it turned out that.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_04]: She didn't know how to structure the podcast it turned out that she didn't enjoy the process of creating a podcast and I'm like well why are we doing a podcast like at the end of the day it's like.

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_04]: You have a cannabis business why are we thinking about podcasts exactly she liked to write she liked to review products so for her was she ended up doing was she ended up reviewing the content that was already that like the project that you already had her in front of a cell phone and she hired somebody that was working part time for her.

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_04]: And that person was very passionate about social media and that's how they started and they started getting some traffic and then she focused on a weekly newsletter for the people that one and more information.

[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah on education so I think that just brings perspective on this was like you don't need to do all the things that we see online and I think is that's a misconception right so thank you for.

[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_04]: You're talking about this.

[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah and now that doesn't negate the the value of high quality content but that but exactly to what we were just speaking about because people think they have to put out so much content the content becomes useless.

[00:33:06] [SPEAKER_00]: It's and especially with AI people are just oh right me blog about blah blah blah blah and it's just spinning out the same useless content.

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah and nobody wants to read it.

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_00]: So see I would call it kind of like building a house your foundation has to be strong and so for any business the foundation for the SEO needs to be there.

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And that is in a nutshell.

[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling Google that you are who you say you are that you do what you say you do and that you're located where you say you're located.

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And one of those foundational aspects is the website and making sure that it's structured properly not making sure that you have 200 pages on your website but making sure that it's structured properly.

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's probably one of the biggest mistakes that we see when we take on new clients is that.

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_00]: The content is is not structured properly for Google Google can't even understand what it is that you do because either you're using fluff language or you have 500 h ones on the homepage.

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Or you have no h ones and I know I'm speaking a little technical.

[00:34:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to get a head or whatever.

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Head or one tag and so Google reads in order of your your your h tags and your h your h one is header one should encompass what it is that you do and those specific keyword at least.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that would be like when you open a page in the top fold that would be kind of like that big headline that is your h one.

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_02]: I got it.

[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_04]: So when you say okay the right structure like how do we translate that into is this structure of like homepage.

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's kind of a try to guess is it like like a like a not lined you know because when when you're writing like a nissy is it like an outline that you have like your title you know subtitled in like maybe some headings kind of like stuff like that.

[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah very similar.

[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm right exactly so.

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I know I don't know how technical the audience is but you know if we're looking at our title tag and our made a description.

[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_00]: We need to have the keywords in there that people are actually searching for.

[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Same thing with the header tags and and working in those location phrases into your content meaning.

[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_00]: You know you guys are a podcast studio in Jacksonville.

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_00]: So that needs to be in the headers.

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like the original podcast studio in Jacksonville because we truly are the right.

[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_00]: So you know at a basic level, this structure needs to be there and it's funny because like I said we'll take on new clients and the website will just be.

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_00]: The structure completely wrong it may look visually appealing and you may look at the website.

[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, oh that's a really nicely designed website but then when you look on the back end and what Google is seeing.

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_00]: They have absolutely no idea what it is that you do because you know maybe you are I have some examples right now.

[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So one thing that we went into a lot is with med spas and aesthetic clinics.

[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And they want to get across that you know they're helping you look beautiful and young and so.

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_00]: One recent example that I saw with an H1 is the H1 said literally your natural beauty.

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_00]: So with Google scanning your site and they see your natural beauty.

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah that doesn't mean anything and it also doesn't mean anything or audience either because your audience probably most people are not looking for like how do I get my natural beauty back right?

[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Is that correct?

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah sometimes yeah.

[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Especially if they're trying to go to a med spas.

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_00]: But they're you know they were searching both hox or they were searching micro need a link and they landed on your website that says your natural beauty.

[00:37:20] [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean anything to them that's no they were looking for and also doesn't mean anything to Google.

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_04]: They're going to bounce right back because like oh I don't see both on the chair like I'm just they're not exactly.

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_04]: I have a live exercise.

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I would love to do if you're open to it.

[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Sure.

[00:37:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I just opened the studio like a series website because you're going to turn the computer you can.

[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I for whatever time you want and then tell us this is good or this is not good we haven't touched it.

[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_02]: We haven't touched it.

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_02]: We bought it with the business.

[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_02]: We haven't changed anything.

[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_02]: We haven't done anything.

[00:37:55] [SPEAKER_02]: This is as it came.

[00:37:56] [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm makes generally curious unlike well be your first you know take on it.

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you got this?

[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I just wish I had my laptop I didn't bring my laptop.

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry about that.

[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_00]: You don't have my all of my the tools.

[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.

[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_02]: At first glance you know just based on it.

[00:38:13] [SPEAKER_02]: That's not to be super deep.

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I apologize for all the tasks.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Where are the ones I made to just like click your links and be like like a thousand tabs open

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_02]: in there.

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I should have brought my laptop.

[00:38:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay well because I don't have like all my keyword research tools and everything from your knowledge.

[00:38:31] [SPEAKER_00]: If you were to say you know our ideal client.

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_00]: What do you have any idea in terms of what they may be searching for?

[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_04]: It has been shifting but you know this is the model that's there is like studio for rent per hour basically.

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay okay all right so what I'm going to do right now.

[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I am searching that exactly in Google.

[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Studio for rent per hour in Jacksonville and what's interesting is I'm not seeing the Google map.

[00:39:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Come up and what I mean by that is the three listings you know with reviews.

[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not coming up it's ads and then you have your website rankings there.

[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't.

[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Is it like an opportunity if you don't see the map in there?

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that an opportunity for businesses to kind of like get in there would like what makes Google put that map in there when you search it.

[00:39:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I've noticed when I searched for certain businesses to do simple pop but when I searched for certain other things it does pop up.

[00:39:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah so when we're doing our keyword research we try to focus on terms that are only going to populate the map pack.

[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah and the reason is because it's easier and easier when to populate in the map pack first.

[00:39:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay then to populate when there's no map pack listed and there's so many different variations based on industry.

[00:40:06] [SPEAKER_00]: But you have a ton of ads at the top if there's no map pack I mean there's always ads at the top but if there's no map pack there's a bunch of ads at the top.

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_00]: And then there's also like for example you have Zillow is one of the top listings here and read it and apartments.

[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I'm guessing the word studio is more especially studio for rent.

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah we go be like podcast studio Jacksonville I think is like number one like how people and it's funny because like as as research that we've also received a ton of calls from people that think that we're a music studio.

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Hey we want to record like you know whatever I want to record like a session right.

[00:40:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Honestly it's a theory of like those are fake calls but.

[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah yeah yeah in Vesia the studio which is fine.

[00:40:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay so I searched podcast studio near me and you guys are number one but here's the thing we're also sitting in the podcast.

[00:41:05] [SPEAKER_00]: That is the location like enable and so yes searching for podcast studio near me so if you're watching this.

[00:41:13] [SPEAKER_04]: If you're watching this or listening go to your phone right now be like podcast studio in Jacksonville and see what happens I'm let us know that'll be great.

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_00]: So Google classifies the main category is recording studio here.

[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Cool.

[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_00]: And I noticed that on your website I don't have my tools to pull up the the HX okay but I'm guessing podcasting for everyone is most likely the H1 tag here.

[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I recommend working in the term recording studio into your H1.

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_02]: So be kind of like podcast studio in Jacksonville and then at the bottom could be podcasting video course like what people usually.

[00:41:58] [SPEAKER_02]: So you're really recording here or in the same H1 tag.

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So there's different ways to structure this because some people don't like having to work in their main category into the H1 it doesn't always fit the branding.

[00:42:10] [SPEAKER_00]: So what we will do is we'll actually kind of.

[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_00]: We'll work with the design aspect of it meaning that you can actually make your subtitle the H1 and the the big header at the top of H2.

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_02]: So from a visual standpoint, you can't tell if exactly but you're going to Google the back.

[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It's actually it makes sense.

[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_02]: So cool.

[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Because Google doesn't crawl like the design and how it looks, it pretty much is just like a different just like a word document I'm guessing that kind of like what they see H1 and they go.

[00:42:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[00:42:45] [SPEAKER_00]: They're they're they're crawlers are they're just they're just scanning the code for the structure.

[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Got it.

[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_00]: And then they do pay attention to user experience as well. So they're looking at how quickly does the website load and that's another reason why I don't always recommend these drag and drop builders to be heavy.

[00:43:02] [SPEAKER_00]: They are heavy and you have very little control over how fast it loads.

[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, make sense.

[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, thank you so much.

[00:43:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm sorry.

[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_04]: I think it's nice.

[00:43:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna take this out.

[00:43:11] [SPEAKER_03]: People on this spot.

[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_04]: You're awesome.

[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm sure like that example is going to help a tunnel people to open their eyes to like, okay, what are some things that we can do or even to reach out please please click the link.

[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Below.

[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Now to wrap start wrapping this up.

[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm very curious on like the future of SEO, right?

[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Because like it's often something that's like super important as we've learned today but also fights a lot of under the radar and we had

[00:43:35] [SPEAKER_04]: And he quote will get his Jason Bernard right and he's like at the forefront of like online at Google like he's up in England and he's been doing this for the last like 30 years.

[00:43:44] [SPEAKER_04]: And he was talking to us about the shift that SEO is living today with like AI or automatic transcriptions on like YouTube transcriptions or all this stuff on how people come find your content is more like now this platforms are learning you know how we talk and like they collect all this information on the back end for example if we put a YouTube video of this podcast right YouTube is automatically transcribing all of it now when people search for things they're going to be able to search by what we say instead of looking for a new video.

[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Like what we put on whatever the description or like this like things on the back end of the set for example and I'm very curious like water like what are what's your point of view on like what's like where is SEO going with you know all this almost like this like whole picture of like merge things of content and every time he's more and more and more and more and more like what what what's your point of view and where are you guys doing.

[00:44:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Well from a consumer perspective people are very very slow to adopt new technology.

[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_00]: So we are in the space every day and you know you talk about shiny objects and rem before and you know we're always trying out new things and testing out the AI but from a consumer perspective people are very slow to adopt new technology.

[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_00]: From a search engine perspective they also still have no idea how do you realize that the high technology.

[00:45:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean Google is is they've been playing around with different ways to incorporate AI into the to the search results kind of like the first thing up up somebody notice like an AI overview type of deal right.

[00:45:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And honestly nobody has any idea what's next you know even Google I don't even know if they know where they're going with the next however speaking to local businesses.

[00:45:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I do not see the way in which we approach SEO changing very much because unless they do away with Google business listings.

[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't see the way in which you search for a local business changing very much.

[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Now it is definitely shifting I mean this I would say it's shifting now more than it ever has.

[00:46:05] [SPEAKER_00]: With SEO in particular the way that we take advantage of it as we use those tools to our to our advantage and to our clients advantage.

[00:46:13] [SPEAKER_00]: We use those tools to help us build our better processes we use those tools to help us build better content give us inspiration for better content.

[00:46:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but from a process is perspective outside of that.

[00:46:29] [SPEAKER_00]: They're still very much relevant.

[00:46:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's a good super random question do you like lower the rings.

[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_00]: No.

[00:46:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so here's like this they mentioned that came to my and maybe it helps illustrate you know for for some people it's like yes I was watching like the new show that's happening on Amazon right and like there's a scene where the a bunch of dwarves are like trying to dig in the inside of the mountain.

[00:46:53] [SPEAKER_04]: To search for light for the sun because the mountain collapse and they don't have sun to you know grow their crops right and I was telling the king comes and he has one of those like new fancy lower the rings right or rings.

[00:47:03] [SPEAKER_04]: And he comes and he starts touching the mountain right and then he says they hear right on this one specific spot and all these things you know the other dwarves are like no no we've been trying all over and you know we can't find the light and then he's like just like dig in this one and they come in and they dig in it's about to shake the whole thing but it opens up and then sun happens right.

[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like all this crazy social strategies and you know tactics and things all over the internet is a bunch of people like those dwarves trying to dig all around to find this sun.

[00:47:34] [SPEAKER_04]: And then SEO comes and it's like this is the thing that we need to take care of this is the foundation right pump and then we take care of that and then this big ray of sunshine comes through in the business and he helps gain momentum right.

[00:47:48] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm most people leave that to the very end and as you were explaining that that's like the image that came to mind and hopefully makes sense for people now you can tell me if it didn't make sense.

[00:47:56] [SPEAKER_04]: He's an interesting guy.

[00:47:58] [SPEAKER_04]: But I feel like we just get sometimes very distracted with a lot of other stuff right and sometimes working on that foundation that it might just be like the right hit in the right spot which in this case could be for local businesses this SEO.

[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_04]: And optimizing for maybe those two pages right if something somebody takes.

[00:48:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Something of all you today I think that's super important like let's take a look at those pages and that can be an increase on you know from two calls a week to seven calls a week and that might mean a big shift in your business right.

[00:48:30] [SPEAKER_00]: I think also a big thing to keep in mind is the intent behind the individual calling to so with paid advertising and then even with you know social media advertising.

[00:48:43] [SPEAKER_00]: They're just scrolling under ad pops up.

[00:48:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah Google they were actively searching for you and actively searching for for your same intent exactly.

[00:48:52] [SPEAKER_00]: So those calls are much higher quality than social media advertising.

[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_02]: So cool man I been mind blown today.

[00:49:02] [SPEAKER_02]: So good I'm grateful you are debunked some something.

[00:49:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I will say selfishly have one more question.

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I have two more questions and always say when it's a call of fun see you get you can answer this on in an archaq because I don't get wait till to make us the two questions and create you pick and then you know we're like.

[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_02]: You can pick both if you want to say that.

[00:49:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Well the first one is we obviously talked a lot about local businesses local CEO which is your expertise most people you help and then you know why label in as well you help with that.

[00:49:37] [SPEAKER_02]: What about like in a nutshell what is the difference between you know the local business SEO and online business right SEO that maybe they don't you know you search them under and I pop up in a map.

[00:49:50] [SPEAKER_02]: In Google where they're trying to sell their products under services as well like in a nutshell you don't have to extend too much we can cover that another day but like why will be the difference in there you know is it they do have to have more content more blogs etc.

[00:50:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Anything else so we were talking about you know do you have to put out a ton of content.

[00:50:11] [SPEAKER_00]: For an online business yes the content that that is one of the biggest differences is you do need more content but relevant content quality content to the to the audience.

[00:50:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah that would be because and quality backlinks to quality.

[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_00]: So examples of backlinks would be press release guest posts depending on the niche that you're in there's there's different forums that you can you know write articles on and back link it to your website.

[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_00]: But again it needs to be relevant to the industry and the content needs to be quality yeah so like.

[00:50:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Guessing on somebody's focus and then they put in your link like we're going to put all your links there so that would that help you.

[00:51:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I am doing SEO right now yes got it perfect.

[00:51:08] [SPEAKER_02]: So good so.

[00:51:11] [SPEAKER_02]: That is like the perfect segue for the next question which was your building now of course ready one two.

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_00]: You have one it's already you know okay yeah it's been out for several years actually just read it everything because we updated several of our processes.

[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's called maps madness and I teach anyone and everyone wants to learn local SEO how to do it from the ground up.

[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_00]: One of the biggest differences I think between my course and potential others is how easy it is to follow one thing that I don't like about a lot of other courses out there is they're very jumbled up it's not clear you know what you know what direction do I go I'm very type a person so I said I'm going to make this.

[00:51:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Very easy to follow very step by step is just look over my shoulder as an implement all of these.

[00:52:01] [SPEAKER_04]: These steps yeah I love it and I think people should go and reach out about this because you know right can be very intimidating right at the end of the day and I think for local business owner has a lot of people sorry a lot of things in their plate.

[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_02]: This is something that it can help move the needle forward very quickly like we saw so yeah how do you market the map map madness is it through some SEO to or is more like when you're having conversations on somebody might not be at the service level you're like hey maybe this a good resource for you to start with.

[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I found that the best student for map smoothness is an agency owner or freelancer not necessarily a local business owner.

[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_00]: There reason is because they don't have the capacity to sit there and bandwidth to learn how to do it themselves so just hire me.

[00:52:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely and we'll do it for you but as far as how you market how I marketed it primarily paid advertising and relationship.

[00:53:02] [SPEAKER_00]: The leading on meeting other agency owners freelancers that want to you know want to learn how to do it.

[00:53:09] [SPEAKER_02]: So awesome.

[00:53:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Awesome I'm going to stop because if not I'm just going to come in.

[00:53:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just do a few things and get started.

[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, if you don't know how people search for you maybe you give a call to all your clients and be like hey how you putting on Google to search for me and then make a list and then there we go.

[00:53:48] [SPEAKER_04]: You know that could be simple because I sometimes I'm like I don't know how people are searching for me you know it's like almost like.

[00:53:53] [SPEAKER_04]: What do you like about me.

[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't know sometimes as myself that question just ask them just yes.
