[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_01]: But he's done so much more. He's built a personal brand.
[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_01]: But I want to kick it off, right? So we have a frame for the conversation, right?
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm curious, right? You're part of live traders.
[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Now you're building your own personal brand.
[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: But let's start with live traders, right?
[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_01]: How much would you say you could attribute potentially to have generated instead of live traders from your content, right?
[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Because again, not from your trading, but more from the community you've built and the products you have sold, you know, based on marketing them from content.
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. So I think we started back in 2015.
[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think our first year was like $160,000 or something.
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And then year two, we kind of doubled that.
[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_00]: We went to like $320,000.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And then, I mean, COVID was actually our best year, you know, 2020.
[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody wanted to learn how to trade. Everybody wanted to work from home.
[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that year we did $6 million and then we kind of have a little bit of a downfall, but we're still hanging around, you know, that area.
[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So overall, we would have done over 11 at this point.
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely amazing.
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_00]: What I'm most proud about actually is the students that are getting the results.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_00]: That actually is what is way more meaningful than I can ever say.
[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Because most people never finish online courses.
[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_00]: The fact that people didn't get results just makes it all more worthwhile for me.
[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so cool. We had the last episode if you haven't listened to it yet with Jake Ronda, founder of Kajabi, right?
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Or not founder. He was part of the board CEO to get from like a million a year to about 100 million a year, which was crazy.
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_02]: He was telling that, right?
[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_02]: The part of the success has been the focus that they did with the product itself to make sure that the people that are using the product are having the success.
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Right?
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure you wouldn't have grown to that extent if your product wasn't good, if what you guys are delivering and you know, the community that you guys are cultivating,
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_01]: like my brother says, was good, right? And they were getting results.
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I'm in that bucket 2020, even before 2020, I was like, I want to try to, you know, learn how to trade.
[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me go into pennies talking like I went everywhere dude, everywhere.
[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was like, I know, like where's the most risk?
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go there.
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I wish I would have known about live traders and Medu before because definitely I would have gone and check you guys out and join the community.
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_01]: But you know, something that really caught my attention is that you do a lot of lives, right?
[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And maybe that is why live traders goes in.
[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_01]: But was that part of your core strategy, right?
[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Is doing live trades, cultivating the community?
[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm curious what was maybe the main strategy or what would you say?
[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_01]: What would you attribute to what piece of content the success that you guys had in there?
[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think the live traders aspect of it because you know, the way we started our first year, our tagline was real money, real traders, real results.
[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason we chose the name live traders was because there are so many people online like, you know, selling alerts or, you know, courses, all these different things.
[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm like, how do you actually trade yourself?
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Like you're selling these courses, but do you even trade?
[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of people online were not willing to like kind of put their money on the line and just trade live in front of everybody.
[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_00]: They were just more happy teaching people.
[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So we said there's a gap in the market.
[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_00]: How don't we show people what we do every single day?
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's why we call it live traders.
[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Every single day is live streaming.
[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, just getting before on this podcast, I was on the live stream, you know, showing people what I'm doing and teaching people.
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's the best way to learn.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what I attribute the success to is for people to not only learn from the course,
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_00]: but then see us actually apply that in real time.
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm curious.
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Did you guys made the decision of hey, let's sell something and then that's a strategy that we're going because we see the gap in the market
[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_02]: or you guys started creating content and then after you're like, oh, people are joining in.
[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_02]: They're asking questions.
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we should sell something.
[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_02]: What was the order of what you guys did?
[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the order actually was just me and my business partner, even before we started live streaming,
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: we were just back in the day we used to have Skype.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_00]: So we just get on a Skype call and we just talk while we're trading, you know, and that's how it started.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_00]: That's like this is a great environment for new traders because everybody sitting on the computer doing it by themselves.
[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_00]: A, it's boring.
[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_00]: B, you could be doing it completely wrong.
[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So we just try to create a community where a bunch of people chatting with each other, sharing ideas and think about it.
[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_00]: If we have I have two eyes right?
[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking at finding stocks, but now there's hundreds of eyes that I've coached finding stuff even for me.
[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I'm gonna look at the setup.
[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_00]: That's the setup from the course.
[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And then I'll look at it and I might even trade it and make money on that.
[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_00]: So now we got more eyeballs, we got a team and you know, trading is it could be a lonely business.
[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_00]: There's no colleagues.
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_00]: There's no employees.
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_00]: It's you on your computer.
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Right?
[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So we able to create that community feel is one of the biggest reasons we started.
[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And originally we didn't even think about doing this as a business or to make money or anything.
[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_00]: We just said, hey, we do this every day anyway.
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_00]: You and I talk.
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Why don't we just live stream us talking and trading and then people were wanting to sign up for that.
[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's how it turned into like a business.
[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love that.
[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Fun super fun random fact, but I feel like today the universe is speaking to us.
[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we need to get into this type of business trading because there's actually somebody that called
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_01]: like a few days ago that is coming to the studio to record content about trading stocks.
[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's kind of funny that they're all aligning the same day.
[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Dude, I that's a sign.
[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_01]: We should take it.
[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I love what you're mentioning right now because that's actually a concept on we got the background.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the technical set of that he has, which is sick.
[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_01]: But what I wanted to comment on is what you're doing is actually one of the concepts of copywriting
[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_01]: to which is show versus tell.
[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Right?
[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people when they're creating content, it's like, all right, let me just tell them
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_01]: about this stuff.
[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like how do I show it?
[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously with words, it's a little bit challenging to like show the thing.
[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously you got images that can support, you know, when you create content, you
[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_01]: can do so obviously examples, etc.
[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_01]: But doing it live is like the top way to show somebody.
[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's no better way to build report.
[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Fun fact when we started content is profit.
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_01]: We were like, we're just going to do it live right?
[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So people can actually see how we are creating the content.
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_01]: It was easier for us to friction wise, right?
[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_01]: We decrease the friction to the way we publish a podcast.
[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It was out the same day, the minute we were done.
[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It was out in the world, right?
[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, I think it helped us build trust with the audience that was
[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_01]: listening to us.
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sure you know the hundreds of students that you have like they built
[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_01]: so much trust with you just based on the fact that they can actually see
[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_01]: what you're doing, right?
[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And is again, it's just a testimony by itself is like, hey, look, I'm not
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_01]: just selling you some smoke.
[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm actually going to do this thing.
[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, I'm a do you have a yeah, I have a question because you know, just
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_02]: yesterday we had a couple of students in the studio and a lot of it that we
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_02]: talked is on messaging, right?
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_02]: And then that turns into almost a psychology of the person that's
[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_02]: sharing the content.
[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_02]: And we have here on our notes that you know, you're specialized in
[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_02]: trading psychology, right?
[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's almost like you're the niche to use that you speak on in this
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_02]: world, right?
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_02]: In a sense, what may you go there, right?
[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Like are you passionate about that or is that like a need that you saw
[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_02]: from the people that were coming to like your your online community
[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_02]: or the lives?
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Like how do you actually aim to go that way?
[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Because a lot of the people that start creating content, at least in
[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_02]: our experience, the people that we talked about, they have a hard
[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_02]: time picking like where that go on.
[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's the stage of the business that they're in, right?
[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_02]: They're trying different things.
[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_02]: How do you get to that point where you're like, this is my
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_02]: thing, this is my lane?
[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think firstly, you got to love what you're doing.
[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I actually genuinely love trading.
[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like a challenge for me.
[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like a competition every day is different, you know, the
[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_00]: element of you never know what's come in the dynamic nature of it.
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So I was like all very curious about the stock market.
[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So for me, this was something even if I was not doing as a
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_00]: business, I'd probably be in somebody else's community or like
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_00]: always be involved because I'd be doing it anyway.
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And when I was new, I used to pay for other people's
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_00]: communities and be part of them.
[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And then but I saw that the difference really was that a
[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_00]: lot of people were like they would happily talk about their
[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_00]: gains.
[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_00]: They would happily talk about their profits and how well they're
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_00]: doing and just create this perception.
[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_00]: But that's not the reality of trading.
[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have bad trades.
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have losing trades.
[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of people weren't willing to share that.
[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_00]: So for me, I know that I learned a lot more from my
[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_00]: losing trades than from the losses than I do from the
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_00]: winning ones because yeah, winning trade work, that's
[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_00]: awesome.
[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, how do you handle yourself when you're losing
[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_00]: money?
[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_00]: How do you handle that psychology?
[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's what people liked it because we
[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_00]: would be just real.
[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_00]: If I'm losing, I'll be losing live in front of them
[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_00]: on the live stream so they can kind of get to see how
[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I handle myself, how I navigate it and I'm not going
[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_00]: on a tilt as the Salem poker.
[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So like I'm doing it the right way.
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that was the biggest reason to do it.
[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And also when I started trading, I used to be at a
[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_00]: prop firm.
[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So there would be like an office space.
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_00]: There's like hundreds of traders there.
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_00]: And we all would be sharing ideas.
[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_00]: And then I noticed that most individual traders never
[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_00]: made it in this business because they'd never had
[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_00]: anybody to bounce ideas off of.
[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So for me, it was all about creating that environment
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_00]: that you, it almost feels like you're sitting next to us.
[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_00]: That's so cool.
[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Something that really caught my eye when I met you,
[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I was part of your story where your partner was
[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_01]: actually your coach.
[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was so interesting, you know,
[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_01]: and then later on you guys partner up,
[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_01]: build this business and now he's retiring and
[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_01]: you're kind of like transitioning to your own
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_01]: personal brand.
[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And now I would love for you to speak a little bit about that.
[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Kind of like how did that relationship develop into
[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_01]: live traders and now what does that transition
[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_01]: look like for you into your own personal brand?
[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_01]: For those that go and see your Instagram,
[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_01]: for example, you create a lot of lifestyle type of
[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_01]: content, which is, I think it's very aligned too
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_01]: with the trading type of content that at least
[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_01]: I've seen out there.
[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm curious, you know, to hear about that transition
[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_01]: and then what is next for you and how are you planning
[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_01]: on tackling your own personal brand?
[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so my business partner, Jared,
[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_00]: so he was my coach.
[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_00]: He used to be trading for a firm and he used the guy
[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_00]: like creating courses and stuff.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_00]: So I still remember like in 2010 or something,
[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I attended a free webinar online and it was hosted
[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_00]: by my partner, Jared.
[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, oh, this is interesting because
[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_00]: everywhere else that I've attended these free webinars,
[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_00]: they're just a sales pitch.
[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, by this, you're going to make X,
[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_00]: turn $1,000 into $10 million in two minutes.
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, back in the day when there was no like
[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_00]: monitoring, you'd see these ads on Google everywhere,
[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_00]: right? And they would come in your inbox how to
[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_00]: make this money.
[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_00]: So I attended free webinar with him and he was
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_00]: talking more about the psychology, about,
[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_00]: you know, losing trades, even when he would
[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_00]: take a bad trade, he would talk about it.
[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think I liked that because I could see
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_00]: the transparency in that.
[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And I said that's where I should be learning.
[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_00]: So I remember I paid like $6,000 back then to take
[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_00]: his program and I kind of did really well with
[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_00]: the program.
[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I started, you know, making money and doing well
[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_00]: as a trader.
[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And then he hit me up.
[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_00]: He said, hey, this company that I work for,
[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_00]: they're looking for an intern just so if somebody

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_00]: But I was still in college.
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_00]: So I did that.
[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So I started like then working with that
[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_00]: prop firm, the company whose money I was
[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_00]: trading so they would bring their new hires
[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_00]: and the CEO said, hey, you really did well
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_00]: with our program.
[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_00]: But a lot of people are struggling.
[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_00]: So why don't you start coaching the new
[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_00]: people who are hiring?
[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's going to be a role of the company.
[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_00]: So I started working for them coaching
[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_00]: traders and that's how I got into coaching.
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_00]: And then 2015, that company got bought out.
[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I hit up my business partner.
[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, hey, we've been doing this
[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_00]: for five years.
[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you joining this new company that's
[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_00]: being bought out or why don't you and
[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I team up?
[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you already taught me.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm your case study right here.
[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So why don't we take all the elements that
[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: the other firm was ignoring like talking
[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_00]: about the bad trades and all of that stuff.
[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_00]: And we create this environment for people.
[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Let me handle the online part of the business.
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: You do the coaching and training.
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's how it started.
[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I love that story, right?
[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And you mentioned it again, transparency
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_01]: and authenticity.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Again, for the little I've seen on this
[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_01]: world, right?
[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_01]: What else?
[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Like looking into it, trying to get into it.
[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot of gains, gains, gains,
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_01]: right?
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And it does paint obviously the, it speaks to
[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_01]: the desire of what I would assume most
[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_01]: people are coming into this world, which
[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_01]: is I want to make a lot of money.
[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Right?
[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_01]: So when they see gains, gains, gains,
[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_01]: they're like, wow, I can potentially
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: make these gains as well.
[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think there's something extremely valuable
[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_01]: of course of being transparent and
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_01]: authentic and sharing their losses,
[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_01]: right?
[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And bringing people down to reality
[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_01]: like, hey, yes, gains is a possibility
[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_01]: for sure.
[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And we can help you get you there.
[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_01]: But the reality is that there will be
[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_01]: challenges, right?
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Just like building a business.
[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, okay, the potential is that we
[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_01]: can make so much money doing X, Y and Z.
[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_01]: But there are going to be challenges,
[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: right?
[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And most people don't mention those when
[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_01]: they're selling you their programs,
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_01]: their stuff, right?
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you ever feel any kind of fear?
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I think like at that point,
[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_02]: even we've had people, especially now in
[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_02]: the physical location, we get way more
[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_02]: conversations in person, right?
[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's almost like pretending.
[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_02]: You can always tell like that person
[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_02]: across the table is like pretending to
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_02]: either have a business or something like
[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_02]: that.
[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_02]: And I think like we make peace with,
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_02]: you know, us and how we conduct ourselves,
[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_02]: especially in these interviews, right?
[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I think part of the authenticity and energy
[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_02]: has allowed us to meet incredible people
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_02]: that we consider now friends.
[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And but there's still like that little
[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_02]: thought at least in my head to
[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: where like, man, like it's to fully
[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_02]: lean into it.
[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_02]: There's still some resistance,
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_02]: like in a sense and we're still doing
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_02]: but there's still that.
[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_02]: And especially when you go online.
[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_02]: So I totally understand that people that
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_02]: might be starting to create content
[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_02]: that are starting to put their message out
[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_02]: there, right?
[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like the duty
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_02]: to put the message out there has to
[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_02]: be way bigger for me to fully accept
[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_02]: and you know, I'm helping
[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_02]: by being authentic, right?
[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, do you feel any resistance at
[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_02]: some point?
[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I feel like
[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_02]: for you came very natural,
[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_02]: but I'm very curious.
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, do you ever feel that or be like, man,
[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_02]: like maybe we should be like less transparent

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_01]: building all this stuff.

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I think in the beginning,
[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_00]: we definitely had that period because we were
[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_00]: putting out like great content, like hour-long
[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_00]: in-depth lectures, but then we'd see these
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_00]: people making lifestyle videos and them getting
[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_00]: all the views, you know, millions of views where
[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_00]: our video got like a thousand views.
[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So at that point, we definitely thought
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_00]: about it.
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_00]: We had a conversation where like, are we
[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_00]: targeting too much of a niche?
[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, because our people need to know
[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_00]: about trading because we're putting in
[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_00]: technical lectures and it's not attracting
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_00]: new people, right?
[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not attracting brand new people.
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_00]: So we definitely had that moment and
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_00]: there was a moment where my partner
[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_00]: was posting all these pictures with
[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_00]: like, you know, cars and all of that.
[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_00]: But then we had a conversation and we
[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_00]: just sell, you know, it just doesn't
[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_00]: feel right.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And if we're going to do this business
[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_00]: for like long-term, I don't want to be
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_00]: putting on a thing.
[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be putting on a show.
[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to just be myself and be
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_00]: able to share people.
[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think the number one question
[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_00]: people need to ask themselves is like,
[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_00]: who is your target market?
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Like we don't attract brand new people
[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_00]: because brand new people are attracted
[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_00]: to lifestyle, right?
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_00]: All the gains, the flashiness, the
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Bugatti, you know, all the new
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_00]: people are attracted to that.
[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_00]: But we're like, that's not the
[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_00]: audience we're going for.
[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's partly one of the reasons.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Like we have a extremely, we haven't
[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_00]: had a single refund for our course.
[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Like since 2015.
[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Not a single refund.
[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's like way, like industry
[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_00]: standard I think is about 30 something
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_00]: percent.
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So our refund rate overall is like
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_00]: 0.6 percent or something over the
[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_00]: last eight years.
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And that goes to show the, not only
[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_00]: the quality but like the ability to
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_00]: they can just feel it.
[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I think back in the day you could
[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_00]: get away with it.
[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Now your audience feels it.
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_00]: They can just see it right through
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_00]: you.
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you just regurgitating what
[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_00]: other people are saying?
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And you got to know who you're
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_00]: going after.
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going after people who have
[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_00]: been around trading.
[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_00]: They've traded for a little bit
[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_00]: while they struggled.
[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_00]: They all know the realities.
[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_00]: They've been through trying out all
[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_00]: the penny stock newsletters and all
[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_00]: of that stuff.
[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And now they finally found
[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_00]: something.
[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's our audience.
[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_00]: We don't look for brand new
[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_00]: people who've never traded
[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_00]: before even though we get some of
[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_00]: those but that's just not the
[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_00]: audience we're looking for.
[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_00]: You got to be really clear who
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_00]: is your ideal client?
[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Who is your ideal audience?
[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And just focusing everything to
[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_00]: that because you cannot go too
[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_00]: broad and have everybody like you.
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And no matter what you do, 50% of
[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_00]: people are always not going to like
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_00]: you.
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to relate to you.
[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_00]: So you go after the 50% who are
[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_00]: going to go relate to you.
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Another great lesson, right?
[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And this is, I see it as the
[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_01]: stages of the content that you
[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_01]: speak to.
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a saying, you know, the
[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_01]: person that speaks the problem
[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_01]: best, right?
[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_01]: The person that knows how to
[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_01]: tell the problem the best is
[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_01]: the person that's going to win,
[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_01]: right?
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And you knowing who you are
[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_01]: targeting and who you are not
[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_01]: targeting, right?
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Allows you to create content
[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_01]: under that frame and speaks
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_01]: better to the people that you're
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_01]: targeting, right?
[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So another great lesson for those
[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_01]: creating content right now that
[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_01]: you're probably struggling to
[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_01]: connect with the audience that
[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_01]: you want to actually target.
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Think about the problem, right?
[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_01]: What is the actual problem that
[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm solving?
[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Because we've been victims of
[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_01]: that, right?
[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Victims of like creating
[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_01]: content for the person that is
[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_01]: five, six steps before they
[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_01]: are actually the people that
[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_01]: we're trying to sell.
[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And like there's nothing wrong with
[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_01]: that problem, right?
[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Like those people, you might
[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_01]: nurture them, they might get in
[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_01]: your ecosystem and eventually
[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_01]: they might, you know, you might
[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_01]: sell them.
[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_01]: But if you are running a
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_01]: business and you are looking to
[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_01]: convert some of those
[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_01]: conversations, like you need to
[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_01]: speak to the current market
[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_01]: that you're talking to.
[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_02]: You reminded me of a story like
[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_02]: a couple weeks ago, you know,
[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_02]: a person that we worked with
[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_02]: there for a couple years and
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_02]: she really had an internal team
[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_02]: and it's awesome.
[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_02]: And then she has a really good
[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_02]: friends in Austin and this
[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_02]: person is known for going
[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_02]: viral in many ways, right?
[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_02]: And I remember while we worked
[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_02]: together one of the questions
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_02]: is that it's like almost like
[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_02]: that reverse imposter syndrome
[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_02]: where it's like I know like
[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_02]: with this content so high
[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_02]: quality and for this specific
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_02]: type of person but on the
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_02]: other side almost like you
[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_02]: wish to have like the bigger
[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_02]: audience, right?
[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Because we think that that
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_02]: bigger audience will lead to
[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_02]: maybe more business or better
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_02]: business, right?
[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's a total question but
[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_02]: when we're producing the
[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_02]: podcast and from podcast clips
[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_02]: it's like really challenging to
[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_02]: get bigger numbers if you're
[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_02]: not engineering to go do that,
[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_02]: right?
[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_02]: And every single week we had
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_02]: that conversation, right?
[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_02]: And then they went to Austin
[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_02]: and this person I think posted
[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_02]: something on his Twitter about
[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_02]: this previous client that we
[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_02]: had that they're looking for
[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_02]: a date and the post went
[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_02]: viral.
[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Three million views in no time.
[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I think she got over a thousand
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_02]: DMS, right?
[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And all these things, right?
[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_02]: So you know you get this person
[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_02]: and finally got viral.
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe not for the right reasons
[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_02]: because like they serve, you
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_02]: know, they serve top companies
[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_02]: like they've worked with
[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Samsung for example with the
[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_02]: top leadership team in there
[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_02]: and the lesson was like do
[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_02]: we actually want to go viral,
[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_02]: right?
[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Like for this type of stuff
[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_02]: and even though she got a
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_02]: ton of eyes that didn't
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_02]: really translate into business
[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_02]: at that point.
[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_02]: So you're like, okay, well
[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_02]: it's really interesting to see
[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_02]: all these people going viral
[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_02]: but like what's behind that?

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Like going from like
[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_02]: from mental health is that
[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_02]: actually good for you as a
[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_02]: person to like is that actually
[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_02]: good for the business, right?
[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_02]: So I think like the decision
[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_02]: that you guys made is so
[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_02]: important and a lot of people
[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_02]: can't learn from that if
[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_02]: they're trying to chase,
[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_02]: you know maybe there's big
[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_02]: numbers at the front that might
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_02]: not translate into what you
[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_02]: want for your business on

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_00]: everything but they don't
[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_00]: convert as well because a lot
[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_00]: of time people look at content
[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_00]: as entertainment.
[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_00]: So if your content has a
[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_00]: lot of views, yeah it's
[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_00]: probably entertaining, people
[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_00]: watched it, maybe they shared
[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_00]: it a little bit but they didn't
[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_00]: have any reason to call
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_00]: your contact or take action

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_01]: transition looks like?

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_01]: You were very concerned about
[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_01]: like non-neglecting
[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_01]: your community that you
[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_01]: already have with live
[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_01]: traders, right?
[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Which I think is absolutely
[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_01]: amazing.
[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_01]: But you know you're also
[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_01]: you want to make a name for
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_01]: yourself, you wrote a book,
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_01]: you have a new journal out
[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_01]: there, you do have kind of
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_01]: like a strategy in place of
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_01]: how you want to build this.
[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm curious, right?
[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_01]: What are some of the lessons
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_01]: that you're taking from
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_01]: building live traders into
[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_01]: your own personal brand?
[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of the challenges that
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_01]: you're going to that you
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_01]: know they might come up
[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_01]: right and you're prepping
[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_01]: for those as well.
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think the
[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_00]: challenge is like when we
[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_00]: started there was very equal
[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_00]: content on our YouTube like
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_00]: my partner would have put
[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_00]: a video a week and I would
[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_00]: put a video and then
[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_00]: somehow in the way like I've
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_00]: got focused on just being
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_00]: a good trader focusing on
[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_00]: my trading.
[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to scale that to
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_00]: a different level.
[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So I kind of took a backseat
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_00]: and I stopped making
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_00]: YouTube videos and all of
[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_00]: that.
[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So then over the last few
[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_00]: years, I mean he has been
[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_00]: the face of the company
[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_00]: because that was you know
[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_00]: him.
[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_00]: So the concern for me was
[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_00]: always that maybe I should
[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_00]: have kept on putting on
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_00]: content or now as he leaves
[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_00]: he's not going to be put
[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_00]: in any YouTube videos so
[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_00]: then it's got to be on
[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_00]: me.
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that was the
[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_00]: element but on branding
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_00]: myself I mean you know we
[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_00]: kind of already had a brand
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_00]: LiveTraders was the name but
[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_00]: then it's still run by me and
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_00]: him.
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So there's still an audience
[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_00]: and community of people
[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_00]: that are there so I want to
[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_00]: obviously nurture them, keep
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_00]: them but also expand it into
[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_00]: other areas of my life
[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_00]: because I've known for
[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_00]: trading.
[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm known for helping
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_00]: people with trading and
[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_00]: being a trader but on the
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_00]: side I've done a lot of
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_00]: other things that I've
[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_00]: real estate.
[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I have all these
[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_00]: different topics that I
[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_00]: love talking about but
[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_00]: always felt like I don't
[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_00]: know maybe I'm going too
[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_00]: broad I should stick to
[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_00]: my niche but I think at some
[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_00]: level you've got to just be
[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_00]: like hey I'm just being open
[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_00]: with people what I'm
[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_00]: everything I'm doing you know
[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_00]: and I'm just going to share
[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_00]: my life as a documentary
[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_00]: and you know if some people
[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_00]: come for trading great
[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll help you with that
[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_00]: if some people come for
[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_00]: other things I'll help you
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_00]: with that because there's
[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_00]: a lot of other people

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_00]: are the face of the company

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_00]: involved but I'm running

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_00]: getting them to do the

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_00]: time I've felt I've
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_00]: built other people's
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_00]: businesses I think it's
[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_00]: time I start working on
[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_00]: myself and building my
[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_00]: own thing so I think that's
[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_00]: kind of the overall strategy
[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_00]: is just to share people
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_00]: everything I'm doing the
[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_00]: startups I'm investing in
[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_00]: the real estate that I'm
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_00]: buying and like the trading
[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_00]: is also a big focus on
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_00]: that but then just being
[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_00]: able to share my journey
[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_00]: so they might give other
[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_00]: people some ideas on where
[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_00]: their journey could go

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_01]: probably going to be you

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_01]: perspective from outside but

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_01]: right now you can have
[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_01]: big days you can have
[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_01]: big losses right but then
[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_01]: you also want to diversify
[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_01]: and see where you're putting
[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_01]: your money how are you
[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_01]: growing you know your
[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_01]: relationships your mindset
[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_01]: your spirituality and I
[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_01]: think that's going to be
[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_01]: the space for you that
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_01]: mastermind where you want
[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_01]: to cultivate a community
[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_01]: of like-minded people

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_00]: we want to bring in
[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_00]: growth minded people
[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_00]: who are working towards
[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_00]: something
[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_00]: so I learned that
[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_00]: when I was making money
[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_00]: but I was ignoring
[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_00]: other aspects of my life
[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like hey
[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want that for
[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_00]: other people to learn
[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_00]: that the hard way

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_00]: the money now they're like
[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_00]: who I ignored my relationships

[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_00]: because I made money
[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_00]: through a lot of pain
[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_00]: you know like
[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_00]: growing up
[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_00]: didn't feel enough
[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I felt like it didn't belong
[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't the most social person
[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_00]: it was complete introvert
[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_00]: and then I had some bad relationships
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_00]: in college
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_00]: and you know all of that stuff
[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_00]: so I made money
[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_00]: through a lot of pain
[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_00]: it's almost like I'm trying to
[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_00]: prove something to the world
[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_00]: there's a negative energy
[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_00]: now that energy has its place though
[00:29:11] [SPEAKER_00]: it could really get you
[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_00]: to do things
[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_00]: and get you motivated
[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_00]: and get you through things
[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_00]: so if there's a place for that
[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_00]: of that dark side
[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_00]: of your dark energy
[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_00]: to use that as fuel
[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_00]: to become successful
[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_00]: but at some point
[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_00]: you gotta let that go
[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_00]: and be like hey
[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to prove
[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_00]: anything to anybody
[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_00]: or the world
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_00]: or to you know anybody
[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing it for myself
[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_00]: so that's the next stage
[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_00]: of evolution
[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_00]: of evolve
[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_00]: is that first step
[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_00]: is sure we get the financial success
[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_00]: and I think that's the number one key
[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_00]: because when you have financial success
[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_00]: now I can work on other areas of my life
[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_00]: and have the money
[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_00]: to hire the best coaches
[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and do all of those things
[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_00]: so finance still comes first
[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_00]: but once you get there
[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_00]: don't be stuck there
[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_00]: right
[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_00]: don't ignore the other aspects
[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_00]: of your life
[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_00]: cause you're not going to be fulfilled

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_00]: and you're sitting by yourself

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember
[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_02]: a few years ago
[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it was with Billy Jean
[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Billy Jean is marketing
[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_02]: like he was
[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_02]: super over way at one point
[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_02]: and he was making these millions
[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_02]: and I remember
[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_02]: he almost disappeared
[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_02]: for like a full year
[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_02]: they stopped working on
[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_02]: like this big projects
[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_02]: like they were trying to redefine their strategy
[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_02]: and when he came back
[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_02]: he had lost a lot of weight
[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_02]: like he's like hey
[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_02]: I used this year
[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_02]: and he was sharing his experience
[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_02]: to almost reset myself
[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_02]: because I was lost
[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_02]: even though we're making a lot of money
[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_02]: and he had a very young daughter
[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_02]: at the time
[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_02]: so he's like I'm resetting
[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_02]: my entire health
[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_02]: because if I don't take care of myself
[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_02]: do that
[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_02]: and I remember thinking
[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_02]: I think this was probably
[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_02]: like four years ago
[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_02]: and I remember
[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_02]: at that point
[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I was a lot healthier
[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_02]: than I am right now
[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_02]: and I was like
[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I was naive enough to think
[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_02]: well
[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I need to put in the work now
[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_02]: like
[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I can't afford to not
[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_02]: to not think of my health
[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_02]: like 100% right now
[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_02]: cause I was like healthier
[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_02]: right?
[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_02]: and then
[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I took the bad decision to do that
[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_02]: and today
[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_02]: in the flips I were like
[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_02]: man
[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_02]: like it's been already a few months
[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_02]: like almost like a year now
[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_02]: where it's like
[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_02]: my health has to come first
