[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So we've been you know sharing a little bit of the information of things that are happening there

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_00]: We surprisingly enough that was not the flag and I was like wow, that's really interesting

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: And it was last night. I was just going through my feed and I found a video that I found

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_00]: hilarious I found a video of these reports of

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Allegedly AI altered pictures for Kamala Harris and again not siding with any

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Political thing in the topic of content is profit

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: But we just want to bring this because it's obviously hot and spicy for a lot of people that want to put their thoughts on

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Social media right one to express themselves whether you're on one side or the other and I was just re-sharing in my story

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_00]: This video because I thought it was a good analysis of that specific picture that showed a crowd

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_00]: But then on the airplane there was no crowd on the reflection of the airplane right?

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I was like well, this is pretty interesting

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_00]: And I just thought it was funny and I shared it as a funny thing

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: No, and then hence I get a notification and you can see the pictures here of my account has been fact-checked by

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_00]: independent fact-checkers and I was like wow what a great way for Mita to

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Clean their hands and say that it's not them that are banning your account and maybe save a lot of money

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: That's immediately the first

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Somebody to report to you or whatever and then yeah, yeah

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Which by the way we found I'm gonna link it right below to the article that says you know that whatever that fact checked

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_00]: That but again if you read books like trust me online

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You can find that probably everything on the internet can be fake

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So we don't know what to trust but anyways apart from that

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Trust yeah, are we real is this AI generated this whole episode?

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's not by the way. It's okay. This accent I cannot be faked. Let me tell you that

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_00]: How does this affect you know business people or you know

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_00]: The audience that listens to content's profit and a lot of the people that come to either the studio hard conversations with us

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_00]: When they start to create content

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: There's always a level of

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Being careful with the message and the things that they say right and we've seen on social that a lot of them

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Polarizing messages right might grab a little more traction right polarizing topics might grab a little more traction

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Also depending on like what platform you're in you know what maybe what point of view you're you're

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_00]: You're sharing right for example what just happened in Venezuela are a lot of you know run doing is happening in the country

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people are sharing that and the entire country banned X right because you know Maduro the dictator

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Almost like blocked Elon Musk and Elon Musk being the owner of X he unlocked himself and continue to talk

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: on my duros account or whatever and

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Anyways the country completely banned this platform right so these can happen anytime and it can happen to every business and

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_00]: You know unfortunately if something like this happened and you depend on social media content organically or whatever it is

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_00]: It might be you know the difference between staying on business or going out of business

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Right so immediately we started thinking okay. Well this clearly was a very little episode

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But there's a big lesson right and you summarize it in like a sentence right when we started

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Discussing this episode don't build your home on rented land

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So what are your thoughts on that fancy because like you obviously deal with messaging a lot of the the products that we work with right with her with her

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, true

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Just love it

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean this is a concept that has been going around at least I mean from way before we entered the industry

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Right, but it's one of the first things you learn when you join the direct response marketing world

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Which is build your list right build an asset that you can control and

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, you cannot control 100% social media right? I mean

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_02]: There are challenges in each platform different platforms. You know they got their different challenges, but

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_02]: One of the most common ones that you'll probably relate to is you publish great content

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_02]: You have a great following

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_02]: But only a very small percentage of your following

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Actually sees your content and gets served with your content right so that is very frustrating for a lot of creators. It's like why I have

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: 20,000 followers 50,000 followers, you know 10 followers and

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Nobody or only like 10% of those people are the ones that are like

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Watching my content right like why doesn't they get served my content?

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And at the end of the day is because you know obviously social media is a product itself

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_02]: right they're trying to make money as well and they got to find different ways to monetize the platform and

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, they're not prioritizing showing some of your content to the people that is following you right rather they might show again

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_02]: something that has more

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_02]: value for them meaning

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Advertisers right they're paying money for this platform. They're gonna show you those posts or

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_02]: They're gonna show you things that they know what they're gonna keep you in the platform consuming

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Because you are the product at the end of the day right for these people, but you know the

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_02]: The idea of you know building your home on rented land

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Is this that the problem is if you create something of significance and then your whole business

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Is just based on that meaning let's say all your revenues attached to Instagram

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_02]: If something like what happened to you right where they flag you or they demonetize you

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_02]: You lose your revenue overnight and you don't want to be in that position

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_02]: So what do you want to do is you want to build your own list?

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_02]: You want your asset that you can control right meaning people are going off platform and

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Signing up to email newsletter, etc. It doesn't have to be an newsletter

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_02]: There's many many ways you can do this, but pretty much they give you willingly

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Their contact information and then you have that store in a place where you can use it

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Regardless right because they

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Agreed for you to communicate with them. So if they're giving you their information

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_02]: You can use an email out of responder, right?

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_02]: You can start sending newsletters emails weekly, etc

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_02]: You can start promoting off channels of these social medias because that is the value of it

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_02]: And you can build relationships that they have and let's say, you know

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_02]: You're like, oh, I don't I don't have a software that sends emails to all these people

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_02]: You don't need it like in the most basic element people are signing up for for something

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Right there willingly give you their contact information that can literally be an excel sheet

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_02]: That you have all this information, you know name email phone number

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_02]: And you use that you can literally send a personal email one by one, right?

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Again, you don't need all the software these tools have been created to facilitate marketing efforts. So if you have, you know

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Active campaign go high level whatever it is

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Awesome, you can leverage that asset to email multiple people at the same time

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_02]: And you're saving your time of going one by one

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_02]: But if you don't have any of these tools at the most basic level now you have access to the people that are agreeing

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_02]: To communication with you off platform

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think something that came to mind apart from like the tactical like okay collecting demo which obviously very very important

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Right. I think that's top top of the list and many different ways of doing it. Absolutely

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_00]: You know most people because they might not have the technical ability to go on and maybe sign up for this platforms

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Or learn a little bit or maybe they don't have the resources to go hire somebody to do it for them, right?

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_00]: They take advantage of these platforms like Instagram patreon like tiktok that you can actually monetize inside of the platform

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_00]: But that that's where the journey of monetization ends for a lot of people. So I we want to encourage you

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, what are other ways that maybe we can steer or even own our own traffic, right?

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_00]: You can still building real relationships through email and by the way email is not dead for those thinking that email is dead

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like I think number one on

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Selling online right and the people that join that that means that they're closer to you that they want to hear more about you that

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_00]: They want to find out more of what you offer of your message, right?

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's a very positive thing and I think is also a really good

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Indicator to like if people are if you have it out there and you promote it every every single time and people are not signing up

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_00]: That's a really good indicator to see okay. Well, maybe what I'm saying over the thing that I'm delivering might not be valuable for

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_00]: That person right and then we can adapt and we can shift now

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_00]: The the other thing that I want to I want to share is like

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_00]: We want to motivate people to be passionate obviously of their message without harming anybody and of course their guidelines

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And of course there's certain levels of things that you can and you cannot share online

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But when you know, you start seeing excessive flagging or excessive, you know

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Stoppage your message and you never know what these algorithms might pick here on there

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_00]: For example, we decided to put a political thumbnail for this episode, right?

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Or we frame it in a way where we want to you know, I'm doing quotations here

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_00]: We might want to attract attention by talking about that topic that is relevant today

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_00]: The whole video or podcast or micro content might be flagged because is under the eye of a political angle

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Right, but if we shift it and we're like, okay

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_00]: This is a lesson for the content community for the creator for the entrepreneurs based on this thing

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_00]: The angle now slightly changes and now, you know, you might not get flagged

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_00]: So again, like make sure that you go over the guidelines of every platform that you put in content out there because often, you know

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes we're not following the rules and you know to be fair, maybe that's what happened in there

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe was the angle on the thing what really I

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Guess pissed me off was it was not my own original content

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Right. So that was the thing. Why is that other account not flagged or why is it?

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it is flagged. Maybe flag doesn't really yeah, so you from posting absolutely

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_00]: So you got me thinking right now. Okay. Well, that's really interesting now

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I know, you know where that limit is and you know, some people might be like, okay

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I might want to push the buttons a little bit more and we also know the platforms like for example

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I killed Tony that they're like, you know in the comedy world, right? They're like the anti

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_00]: You know institutions, right then now platforms like Netflix because they became so big because they were so

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Genuine with their message on how they want to do things now bigger platforms are chasing them, right?

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So you're like, okay now the game flips. So in the meantime, it's like, okay

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_00]: What is the platform that you can own? Where is it?

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, how can you start directing people that resonate with your message to your own thing?

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_00]: But also that's why I'm such a big fan of multiple platforms because you can test the same message in multiple platforms and see what happened

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_00]: You know recently with

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Operation truth I show that runs here out of this studio

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_00]: We gain access to their accounts and there's certain platforms that they got

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Massive reach versus all their same content

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_00]: But one has millions of views the other one has probably a few thousand views right same piece of content so

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_02]: What why I mean I think there's also

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Differences in the platform

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Obviously that people that hang out mostly

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Facebook are gonna be different than the people that hang out on take talk right like they have different tendencies

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, they're in the platform for four different reasons

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_00]: That's my point of like why I'm me personally I'm big fan of okay if we have the time and capacity

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_00]: And maybe the team to test different platforms to see you know where your safety net is

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Because you can be like you can see where it goes versus if you put like a hundred percent of their resources

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Right, and you might say one thing that the platform don't like doesn't like

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Then it's game over for you and we have to restart again for example, right?

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Most people want recover for that because there takes a lot of effort refining your message

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_00]: It takes a lot of effort to put it out there as we all know

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_00]: So again, can we figure out a system right where you can do that?

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think you know to to each obviously everybody's gonna have their own case studies and how they do things

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_00]: But I we highly recommend that the other thing go ahead. Sorry. No, I was just saying yeah. Yeah, awesome

[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_00]: The way that the audio podcast works that is beautiful because it's almost it's very unfiltered right and you can

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_00]: You actually can move that RSC you on that you can move it to different platforms the platforms don't

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Think today with like modern podcasting like if you start a podcast or take instead of Spotify

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_00]: It might be something like that but that original RSS feed you own

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_00]: So the combination between that and your email and the people that listen to podcast

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Which by the way if they pay attention, you know is because they are actually enjoying your message

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Is a killer combination to be able to build start building trust with the with the people that might resonate with their message

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I did a new strategy for people should be to

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_02]: when they publish content

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Tell people to drop in their address and then send them a mail-in

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Subscription service where they're like I you know

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_02]: They actually sign up in there and they put their name on number and and everything and they're like I

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Louise cameo

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_02]: agree to get messages from the other Louise cameo

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Right and messages can be sent to and you know phone number email and the address and then you have a fit

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_02]: You collect like a physical ballot right and you have it in your house in a divider, you know

[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You have one of those big

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I can tell you filers and you put it on there, you know and you save it for life

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_00]: No wonder a lot of people so scared to you know, maybe voice their opinions outside of the business

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Right if that's what you feel and sometimes, you know, that's necessary to be able to maybe you know
