Feeling trapped in the relentless cycle of content creation highs and lows? You're not alone, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
Last week I had a call with one of our good friends and partner in a ¨secret project¨ (might have to listen to find out 😎) Mario Fachini.
On that call he asked me: "Luis, How do people actually provide results over a long time with their content?"
And oh boy! My thoughts started to race. This was a moment like the one when we created the Publishing Pyramid Framework.
We were able to identify 3 big areas that MUST be present for every company and entrepreneur in order to crush it.
We've seen it across the industry. From Hubspot, to local successful creators an influencers. These 3 elements are always present.
Now, it is up to you to mix and match. How much are you willing to dive into it in order to provide REAL value to your customers.
Today you will learn:
- How to actually sustain consistency (the mother of all metrics)
- How to provide consistent results to your audience. The more wins they get, the more YOU win.
- How to actually generate leads for your business.
That last one is the one we missed for years! Learn from our mistakes 😇
PS: the name is a work in progress... been watching too much Kill Tony and my inner comedian came out 😂
We can actually see Fonzi blushing on this one...
Enjoy!

[00:00:00] How do we actually sustain consistency? How do we provide results for our audience or like wins content
[00:00:08] That's very valuable in their eyes, right? And how can we also provide a great experience?
[00:00:12] I remember the days when we were in the feast and famine of creating
[00:00:17] Content cycle let me explain we would create for a period of time
[00:00:22] Consistently and then when we'll get an influx of clients. We would of course take care of the clients leaving the content aside
[00:00:30] When some of the clients would leave and we would have the need for more clients
[00:00:33] We would have to restart the content cycle all over again
[00:00:38] Well today's concept is going to help you get rid of that and it's going to help you move one step closer towards
[00:00:46] consistent content
[00:00:51] Guys welcome back to contents profit happy Monday. We are here today with a special episode
[00:00:56] Fancy just find out what we're gonna be talking about he challenged me. He challenged me to bring a framework
[00:01:04] For you that's useful that you can execute on today and he actually has no idea what I brought but
[00:01:11] T-SER alert this is something that we are putting in our book. Oh
[00:01:16] I just gotta put it out there. Yes
[00:01:19] What are you laughing? Maybe the name will change. I don't know what it is, but the name is
[00:01:23] I'm interested to say the least. I mean look at the picture. Does it look like that? Yeah, maybe
[00:01:32] Guys today we are bringing you a topic called the content glory home
[00:01:41] I don't know what funds is thinking but I'm gonna go ahead and explain this with
[00:01:46] With a little story. So I'm gonna I'm gonna apologize in advance because of my energy levels today
[00:01:52] I'm feeling a little under the weather. I just wanna add that in case I don't add too much to the conversation
[00:01:58] I'm sure the glory hole will be
[00:02:02] Be specific
[00:02:08] But anyways
[00:02:10] Alright, so I'll start with a little story right like obviously, you know, we've been publishing for quite a while now
[00:02:15] We're so super excited. What are you laughing?
[00:02:23] Clearly we would take life very seriously, but
[00:02:27] But honestly what I'm about to share this came out of a session
[00:02:30] we've been doing these weekly sessions with the person that's helping us publish our book and
[00:02:35] This came out at one of conversations and if you've been following the show for for quite a while now
[00:02:40] You know that in interviews every time we do
[00:02:43] guesting or we do presentations
[00:02:46] These concepts come alive, right and we share publicly a few of those kind of like the publishing pyramid, you know, the six levers
[00:02:54] You know pipeline platforms. There's many stuff many things that have come out of our own execution and
[00:03:00] Just being in industry for a long time and working with a ton of people and this was one of those things
[00:03:04] So Mario in that in that in that session
[00:03:07] He's been asking me we were talking about how to create friction like with not a lot of friction where we can attract the attention
[00:03:15] Of the audience where we can attract the attention of our ideal client where we can you know provide value
[00:03:21] All these elements are super valuable obviously for every single content creator that every single person start asking and I came to
[00:03:28] The realization of many things right? There's many elements that that play into this. What are you laughing?
[00:03:39] It's great should we put out there maybe I don't know
[00:03:43] but
[00:03:45] You know part of the question is like how do we
[00:03:48] One of the the baselines that we talk about every single day is how can we stay consistent for a long period of time?
[00:03:55] Right long enough for a content to kind of float up and resonate with people, right?
[00:04:01] So we can make an impact right and obviously every single show or every single publication that we study that we've seen on the
[00:04:07] On trends that we've seen on reports that we've seen on all these
[00:04:11] Conferences the one thing that they have in common is that they being consistent for a long period of time very frequently, right?
[00:04:18] So we also seen in the in the market and I'm sure like if you're listening or watching this
[00:04:22] You might be experiencing something like that where you know
[00:04:26] You start very excited about creating something and then you go a week or two weeks or two months based on your resources
[00:04:31] Based on the team members that you might have and then you stop right and he might be a mix of different things
[00:04:36] Maybe the content is not resonating which in my point of view. I think we can always make it resonate at some point
[00:04:43] Right, but maybe you don't have enough resources
[00:04:45] Maybe you don't enjoy creating it if it's you they weren't creating it right? Maybe you're you don't have the right team behind it
[00:04:51] There's all these elements, right? So we came with like this is actually a Venn diagram what fonts is laughing about, right?
[00:04:58] I don't know why you're laughing about because it's very professional and
[00:05:02] There's three big circles, right that converge into the content glory hole
[00:05:07] I
[00:05:11] By the way guys Fonsi just got engaged congrats man
[00:05:18] Part of the weekend celebrations is you know what what halves you a little bit, you know under the weather you party way too much
[00:05:26] It just hits me funny enough looking back into a relationship when we started dating I got sick
[00:05:32] Boy, okay knows it last time I got sick so I get engaged got sick probably I'll get married get sick
[00:05:37] Yeah, if we keep up the trend. All right, so let's get let's get to it, right?
[00:05:41] So this the whole goal of like these three big elements is how do we actually sustain?
[00:05:47] Consistency right? How do we provide?
[00:05:50] Results for our audience or like wins content that's very valuable in their eyes, right and how can we also provide a great experience?
[00:05:58] So if we hit all those three, right?
[00:06:01] That's that's a big win for anybody creating content, right?
[00:06:04] So how do we actually do this right?
[00:06:07] So the first thing is we got to create a type of content that we enjoy
[00:06:11] Creating right if it's you or if it's your team or whoever is creating it
[00:06:15] The person that's doing it needs to actually enjoy and I go back to you know when we first started content is profit before that
[00:06:21] We were doing a podcast that we at the end of the day
[00:06:24] We didn't enjoy doing it because it was a lot of setup time, right?
[00:06:26] Do you remember another type of content that maybe we started very excited and then
[00:06:32] It fell off or maybe not maybe not us, but maybe some of the clients. Yeah, definitely a lot of them
[00:06:38] Do you remember a specific example?
[00:06:40] Well clearly, Mala just stay on me. This is a solo episode today
[00:06:44] Yeah, it's mostly a solo episode
[00:06:47] But yeah, definitely can remember a few things that we've tried and we haven't stick with just because we didn't enjoy it as much
[00:06:55] Some stuff that we try to roll with some clients that they didn't enjoy as much creating that way some other clients
[00:07:01] Do enjoy it some other known. I think that's part of
[00:07:04] the improvement to the service to in a certain tier which is
[00:07:09] You know, there's not just a single house
[00:07:11] So we try to learn what is your creative process?
[00:07:14] What is it by the best way you create and try to mold the creation around that?
[00:07:19] Yeah, we're definitely big fans of you know
[00:07:21] Developing your own content system and the example I shared with my own discussions was what is amazing lady Michelle
[00:07:29] right and she had a brick-and-mortar and
[00:07:30] For two years. She was convinced that a podcast was a way to go and turns out that first
[00:07:36] She didn't have the equipment so lots of friction there and she wanted the equipment right so money investment
[00:07:42] She was not comfortable recording or camera or a microphone
[00:07:45] So a lot of friction there was some coaching and some practice rounds as she needed to get going before she wanted
[00:07:50] you know a certain style podcast and
[00:07:53] We just started listing all these elements
[00:07:55] right that she wanted but didn't have at the time and
[00:07:59] You know some people out there listening might be like okay
[00:08:02] Well, you just you know go execute and get over those but she didn't have a lot of time and then when we were really really honest
[00:08:08] I
[00:08:08] Count it for like all this time and all these resources that needed to be invested which by the way it wasn't
[00:08:14] Thousands of dollars right maybe was a thousand bucks on equipment that she could get up and running and she had a brick-and-mortar already with environment
[00:08:22] But we realized that she actually enjoys writing and she has a decent email list for a local business
[00:08:27] So what she did instead was started to write the content and send it to the newsletter and that got a lot of traction
[00:08:34] She got people in the shop. She was able to hire a part-time person and then that part-time person decided to start doing some
[00:08:41] Instructional videos that they will put on YouTube or TikTok or different things and started grabbing traction and that was so exciting to me
[00:08:46] right so again number one is
[00:08:48] Create a type of content that you enjoy like for us content is profit
[00:08:52] We freaking love it is our high energy like highlight of the day where we talk to people that we love except when we're sick
[00:08:58] except when yeah
[00:09:01] Laugh about you know bad jokes when we do saw episodes and
[00:09:05] It's just bad jokes with guests that too bills report. Let me tell you I do
[00:09:11] But that's how we're able to keep it for now. What is it four years?
[00:09:15] And I think you know staying consistent four years with something like that
[00:09:20] It's really good. So what are you doing? You know what let us know
[00:09:23] What is the type of content that you are creating that you're enjoying that you've been doing it for a long time, right?
[00:09:28] Now this the second element to this is what are people looking for right?
[00:09:34] So obviously, you know, we're creating in our specific case podcast
[00:09:37] But what are what's the type of content that people are looking for?
[00:09:40] On our side, we've heard the feedback people want a little bit more tactical type of deal
[00:09:44] Maybe when we dive into conversations, how is that person?
[00:09:47] You know turning their actual content to profit. What is the system like? How do they do it?
[00:09:51] Are they running ads? Are they you know
[00:09:54] Connecting with people on the podcast and jumping on sales goals for example, right?
[00:09:57] Yeah, what is the actual thing the last episode with Kevin?
[00:10:01] That was a really good example on how he was able to generate 2.5 million dollars off of his podcast
[00:10:06] And he shared like the three levers of promoting the podcast that they do to be able to do that
[00:10:12] So how can we be more specific the contrast to that was at the beginning of the show?
[00:10:16] We've really focused on the story as an entrepreneur of that person, right?
[00:10:19] And he has shifted because of the feedback of what are people looking for right?
[00:10:24] What are your thoughts Fonsee on that on that space damning going back to Kevin's episode
[00:10:29] Like his frame, which is it's a useful when he creates something, right?
[00:10:34] What is it?
[00:10:34] You know look at it under the frame of is it going to be useful for the person on the other side?
[00:10:40] So if you're sharing something that you know, they might not be
[00:10:43] able to put it into action, you know quite right there and then probably
[00:10:48] Might not be the best thing. You know I get there's different types of contents to content for
[00:10:54] Different types of purposes, but I think personally I like to think again
[00:10:59] I personally I'm a big fan of simplifying things. I'm like right simplify simplify simplify
[00:11:03] There's thousands of frameworks thousands of ways you can do something
[00:11:08] But if I want to bring a bullet down to the simple thing is is this gonna be useful
[00:11:14] To the person that I'm talking to that I want to help do x y and c right so on our end is
[00:11:20] The glory hole useful right for the person that is trying to create
[00:11:25] Consistently that maybe has started creating and then stop creating or they're on that cycle
[00:11:30] Which is they create create create they get a few clients and then they work and they forget all about their content
[00:11:35] right for a little bit and then
[00:11:37] Maybe a few clients stop working with them and then they have the need to kind of restart all over again
[00:11:43] The content process and it's a challenge right we've been there done that
[00:11:47] So that is mostly the people that we're working with so we ask yourself is this useful is a glory hole useful
[00:11:53] It is therefore we are sharing it
[00:11:56] I was asking more specifically on what are people looking for and like how to gather information on
[00:12:01] What are people looking totally miss Interpreter question? Well?
[00:12:05] Honestly come back though conversations right we always says conversations create clarity
[00:12:10] So have conversations with the people that are trying to help. I'm sure you if you're listening to this
[00:12:16] Whether you have a bunch of clients or you have zero clients
[00:12:19] I'm sure you already are connected with somebody that you can help that type of persona that you're looking to
[00:12:26] Deliver results to
[00:12:28] So have a conversation with them and ask him about their problems. Hey, what is stopping you in our case?
[00:12:33] I rise to stop in you from creating content consistently
[00:12:37] Oh man, I'm stuck
[00:12:38] You know working with my clients
[00:12:40] And you know even though I was creating content back then and it was doing great now
[00:12:44] I have all these clients and I don't have a team that can edit I don't have the time to do all these things
[00:12:48] Perfect, you know what that's actually what we do
[00:12:51] But I'm actually gonna throw another tip out there from one of our recent guests Josh tap
[00:12:56] Which I think is absolutely amazing
[00:12:57] He asked everybody that he talks to what are you excited about right now?
[00:13:01] And if they share a problem that he can solve as well. He lets them know so I think that is a good way to have
[00:13:09] Inside sure are there what are there more efficient ways to get inside a skill?
[00:13:15] Yeah, I'm sure there are some but for me personally I think conversations create clarity
[00:13:20] So I'm gonna seek to have the most amount of conversations
[00:13:23] I'm gonna seek to you know be a little bit of a detective try to ask questions about the problems a little bit about
[00:13:30] Specifics was holding them back. You know, what does the solution the ideal solution for them looks like and?
[00:13:38] At the end of the day, that's probably gonna help me even improve my service craft my service if I have none
[00:13:43] Yeah, absolutely
[00:13:44] and I think that brings it full circle to the last you know
[00:13:48] circle in the diagram which is you know the services and
[00:13:52] Products that your company can't provide to that audience for example, right?
[00:13:57] So just quick recap at the top you have you know
[00:13:59] Creating a type of content that you enjoy with us a newsletter a podcast a YouTube channel, right?
[00:14:05] Mix with a little bit of you know, what are people looking for right? You obviously as an authority
[00:14:10] You know your topics
[00:14:11] But also what are the exact questions that we're looking for for example in our podcast studio a lot of people
[00:14:16] I was like how do we first? How do we launch a podcast like what logistically?
[00:14:19] How does that look like right and then how do I grow my podcast?
[00:14:22] Those are more some of the most popular questions that that we get
[00:14:25] So if we create a piece of content with those topics in the form that we enjoy which is a podcast
[00:14:31] For example, then we can share that with them and that adds value and then the last one is like how do we you know?
[00:14:35] Does it align also with our services and our products so in that specific case?
[00:14:39] yes, because you obviously edit content and do a podcast production and
[00:14:44] You can plug it in very naturally in your type of content
[00:14:48] Kind of like how we've done it through the episode, you know fancy did a couple plugs in there for what we do as a
[00:14:53] Service as an example
[00:14:55] So again like what would that try effect out of those three elements right will create your content glory hole which by the way
[00:15:02] With more practice and frequency and consistency right removing friction from the production side on any of the six levers
[00:15:09] Then you're gonna be able to hit that consistently over a long period of time and help more people
[00:15:13] Which ultimately that's what we want to do with the pieces of content that we put out to the world
[00:15:18] Good job. What do you think fancy?
[00:15:20] Good, that's pretty good. Yeah, I feel like a zombie a little bit
[00:15:25] Surprise surprise train work you liked it. I liked it. I actually what will you add?
[00:15:30] I mean, I like that all I actually have something similar that we worked in the past
[00:15:36] I mean, I'm pretty sure this is part of it too. I gotta find it
[00:15:39] It's one one of those hundreds of little notebooks that I used to take notes on
[00:15:43] I know so I need to to find it to see where it is
[00:15:46] But now I think I like it, you know, like know who you're talking to kind of like what those problems are you're solving?
[00:15:52] How do you like to do it and then how do you connect that to obviously, you know
[00:15:56] What do you that value that you're providing to your clients and the people that you're serving? Yeah
[00:16:02] I think you know last thing one of the questions that my asked me when we're doing this exercise was
[00:16:07] What do you start right and we've gotten this in many presentations
[00:16:10] It's like you can actually start out any of this right in our specific case
[00:16:14] We started with a type of content that we enjoy creating because we failed our try to mimic or model all their types of content
[00:16:20] That the time we we're enjoying creating right?
[00:16:22] But if you have a services or a product already that you're selling how are you communicating with them at the time?
[00:16:28] You know, are you enjoying it? Yes. No if it's no adapt and then what are people looking for?
[00:16:33] What are the questions? You know that they're asking you and your frequently asked questions on your website or on Google different things
[00:16:38] Or maybe the conversations that you're jumping on the phone yourself calls, right? And then it can be all together
[00:16:43] So I think that's the end of it
[00:16:47] Excuse me if you if you enjoy this and this was valuable, please let us know we will love any feedback
[00:16:52] If you didn't enjoy also, please let us know brightest feedback
[00:16:55] This is all stuff that you know, we continue to test and these are our own theories on how
[00:17:01] Our clients and the people that we cannot support are able to move forward with content and publish consistently and get
[00:17:07] Awesome results in their businesses. So I'm excited. Let us know what you think
[00:17:11] Any last thoughts fancy. Yeah, I think that's the beauty of also creating content, right?
[00:17:16] Which goes hand-on-hand with one of my new favorite phrases, which is I don't know what I think
[00:17:23] Until I write it in this case. I don't know what I think until I say it all these frameworks have
[00:17:29] been created through the act of
[00:17:33] Us expressing our thoughts, right you talking out loud
[00:17:36] Going into other people's podcast having people on the podcast sharing our thoughts
[00:17:40] It really helps distill the ideas and come up with your own framework
[00:17:45] Your own your own IP right intellectual property that other people are not going to be able to copy that
[00:17:52] You're gonna be able to claim as yours
[00:17:54] And it's gonna be a differentiator in the market whenever, you know
[00:17:58] Obviously people are having conversations with other people which has really helped us right when people come and talk to us
[00:18:03] And we share some of the frameworks that we've created it really catches people's attentions because it is different, right?
[00:18:09] And again sure you can say the end product is just a piece of content
[00:18:13] But you know for us we've developed this understanding by talking to people having these conversations creating a lot of clarity
[00:18:21] That has helped us pause put all these pieces of the puzzle together creating these frameworks that
[00:18:27] Facilitates, you know that end product at the end of the day and all that while
[00:18:32] You know having people that now are enjoying creating content, which is the goal of what we're doing
[00:18:36] That's right put your thoughts out there distill your ideas create your own frameworks and maybe you'll create your own glory hole
[00:18:44] Let's go content glory hole guys with that said
[00:18:47] Thank you so much for tuning into the content's profit podcast
[00:18:50] Go ahead and follow the show in your favorite podcasting platform and on social media at base broscoe
[00:18:55] That is right if today's episode help you move once a closer towards your goal
[00:18:59] Please don't forget to share this episode and of course don't forget to leave a five-star review. See ya. Bye guys
