[00:00:00] There's two ways of thinking, positive and negative. One or the other cannot coexist at the same time in the mind.

[00:00:06] So the one that you focus on most is the wolf you feed the most.

[00:00:09] You might be in a family that you share those things.

[00:00:12] I may be like, oh, that's crazy, that's impossible. You're never going to do it right for you.

[00:00:16] You used it as fuel, but so many others that overwhelms them and then they stop the dreamer.

[00:00:21] The people, the doers that do get there, do one thing in common.

[00:00:25] They know their focus and they meditate upon that focus.

[00:00:29] And what happens, something very magical, people, places and circumstances start to show up

[00:00:35] and then the next thing that happened, ideas, they're massive action takers.

[00:00:39] I've done, you know, division boards. I have them in my background, you know, having them in my phone.

[00:00:45] Get rid of your vision board and create an action board because action board will take you to inspired action.

[00:00:51] And through that process, you actually realize and figure out, oh, that wasn't that important.

[00:00:56] Therefore it goes away.

[00:00:57] We've got some fresh.

[00:00:58] Hey, I'm Luis.

[00:02:00] I'm sure there's plenty that we can learn in there.

[00:02:03] Not only that, but she grew up in an orphanage in Mexico.

[00:02:06] And later on in his in her life, she went back and helped rescue children from a drug cartel, some of which were being sex trafficked.

[00:02:15] Yeah, that is absolutely amazing guys. Please I'm ready to cry. I'm ready to laugh.

[00:02:39] Thank you. Thank you for having me. I will say this is the first time I've been in a park.

[00:02:43] With somebody who said my full name and didn't get it wrong.

[00:02:46] Let's go.

[00:02:49] We are Hispanic too, you know?

[00:02:53] So I think I had a big way to my show that's like I can not miss this one.

[00:02:57] Yeah, it's funny because sometimes we read his panic names with like the English version of the accent.

[00:03:02] And we're like no, we cannot happen this time.

[00:03:04] But it's an absolute pleasure and honor to have you here on the show and share your story.

[00:03:09] I remember when I first met you through our amazing friend Bart Miller.

[00:03:14] I think the call was supposed to be like 15 to 20 minutes and we ended up talking for like hour and a half.

[00:03:19] And it was such a cool conversation on both ends, you know, learning your story and what you're doing to help a ton of people

[00:03:26] and what you've done to help a ton of people.

[00:03:28] So we're like this is somebody that we have to bring onto the show and hopefully help more, you know, be in front of you.

[00:03:35] Thank you.

[00:03:37] Absolutely.

[00:03:38] Maggie, let me start by saying I went to your website and I watched that speaker's reel you got in there

[00:03:44] and oh my goodness.

[00:03:46] My name is Magdalena de la Cruz Cucarcia.

[00:03:49] I am the founder of Maggie Solsa LLC.

[00:03:53] This is a company that I started with a gift of $800 when I was homeless

[00:03:57] and a company that sold a Campbell Soup in 2015.

[00:04:01] When I first tasted Maggie Solsa, I was blown away.

[00:04:04] It was awesome product.

[00:04:06] I could tell it was fresh.

[00:04:07] I could tell it was made with quality ingredients and knew that it would be a great product for one more.

[00:04:12] I am from Mexico and this was life in an orphanage.

[00:04:16] And yes, these are my 68 brothers and sisters.

[00:04:19] Ever since I can remember, I mostly worked in construction, digging ditches, cutting trees and gathering topsoil from the mountains.

[00:04:27] At times we had no food for weeks so some of my brothers and I resorted to hunting with our bare hands.

[00:04:33] We basically hunted at night using spotlights and nets to catch our prey.

[00:04:38] When I was about 6 years old, I started digging caves inside of mountain top canyons.

[00:04:44] These were my secret hiding places to rest.

[00:04:47] This was a way to try to escape, to cope with the things that I saw in lift.

[00:04:54] As a way out of the orphanage, I pursued basketball and got recruited in high school

[00:05:00] to play for the Mexican national team.

[00:05:03] But, I broke my collarbone.

[00:05:06] My ticket out was months later when I got recruited to play basketball for the university in Charleston.

[00:05:13] And that's how I came here.

[00:05:16] I learned to play basketball really good by covering my eyes with the help of an orphan kid named Pancho.

[00:05:23] We found Pancho and a dumpster as a baby.

[00:05:25] He couldn't walk because he had spinal bifida and my job was to carry him everywhere I went.

[00:05:32] When I graduated college, I couldn't find a job and I became homeless.

[00:05:36] I ended up living in the streets and also in the woods and nearby forests.

[00:05:40] But to be honest, I didn't even know that I was homeless because that's how I lived most of my life.

[00:05:45] In 2004, I started my salsa company with a gift of $800 when my friends entered me into a salsa contest.

[00:05:54] I won the contest and I had an aha moment.

[00:05:57] I started my business and it grew very, very fast.

[00:06:01] My product sold in 38 states to supermarkets like Walmarts, Whole Foods, Sam's Clubs,

[00:06:06] and many more companies carried my products.

[00:06:09] Shortly after my company was sold to Campbell's, I went back to Mexico and helped save 31 orphan children who were in grave danger.

[00:06:19] Some of them were victims of sick trafficking.

[00:06:23] We later were able to involve the federalis in the military in the continuous pursuit of the safety of these kids.

[00:06:37] The best type of giving currency is not money.

[00:06:40] It is the willingness to give your life for service others.

[00:06:44] Never take for granted one single woman of your life.

[00:06:49] Change starts now.

[00:06:54] One of the things that we have every single morning when we wake up is we have two choices.

[00:07:00] We either let life control us or we take control of our lives.

[00:07:23] Please welcome your amazing green desert.

[00:07:53] I am so grateful and thankful now that I joyously joy, emotion.

[00:08:12] I'm experiencing action.

[00:08:15] Thank you.

[00:08:16] Let's hear it from back in.

[00:08:17] How about back at you?

[00:08:18] Not go back.

[00:08:19] Back.

[00:08:46] Back.

[00:08:47] Back.

[00:09:16] Back.

[00:09:23] Back.

[00:09:46] Back.

[00:09:53] Back.

[00:09:54] Back.

[00:09:56] Back.

[00:10:05] Back.

[00:10:15] And this was in Central Mexico, Michoacán.

[00:10:19] If you look at the map, if you put the finger right in the center of it,

[00:10:23] it's right next to Mexico City.

[00:10:25] So we lived up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere.

[00:10:30] So I really didn't get to see civilization even coming to America was a shock for me.

[00:10:36] And I remember growing up with over 200 kids at a time,

[00:10:42] sometimes living there from babies to young adults that were going to high school.

[00:10:48] And only two caregivers.

[00:10:50] So there's a lot of things that happen because we weren't supervised like mostly we grew ourselves up because when I was a kid,

[00:11:00] I was paired up with a young adult and then when I grew up I was paired up with the kids.

[00:11:04] So we kind of grew ourselves up.

[00:11:07] And to be secluded in our environment like that and to have the experience of having so many kids come from the streets that had their own issues.

[00:11:18] And it was just, it was really hard.

[00:11:21] And I think that the way that I came out of it was that I was constantly visualizing coming out of there and becoming a super successful person.

[00:11:31] You know, I visualized myself with long hair with a suit behind a mahogany desk even though I hadn't seen anything really outside of the barbed wire fans.

[00:11:41] But I remember watching something like that in a movie of a power woman and we watched like a couple movies for like seven years.

[00:11:49] So it was like really ingrained in and I think that it was sort of there were good times and there was really tough times.

[00:11:58] And sometimes it felt like I was stuck in a place that I couldn't get out because I mean there were my caregivers or parents.

[00:12:05] And at one point they adopted 60 kids so they all have our last names.

[00:12:13] Cook Garcia, my father was American, my mother is Mexican American and they went down to Mexico because they had a calling.

[00:12:21] So I'm trying to, it's a long, long story.

[00:12:26] But I came to America on a scholarship to play basketball.

[00:12:31] What people don't know is that when I was in and junior high, I was always looking for something to help me get out of the orphanage and I discovered basketball because soccer football is very popular.

[00:12:44] And so I wanted something different and I learned how to play basketball out of watching Michael Jordan in my breaks in junior high school.

[00:12:53] And I became so good that I got recruited to play basketball for the Mexican national team.

[00:12:58] And I went to Mexico City, they wanted me, I waited three months and then one day I went out and played football of an Icanon American football with my brothers.

[00:13:09] And I broke my collarbone and three days later the Mexican national team called and I couldn't go and this was probably.

[00:13:18] I think four or five months our caregivers took up big buses, those were all data.

[00:13:23] It's a big buses school buses and they did a tour in the United States and they asked us to come by a picnic for.

[00:13:34] They did the tour to race funds for the nonprofit for the money that you that and there happened to be the coach at the University of Charleston at that picnic and that wasn't West Virginia.

[00:13:48] And she saw me play and she told my caregiver, I want her to come play for me in a scholarship.

[00:13:54] But what people don't know is that when I broke my collarbone, my father told me that my dreams were over and he's a doctor like he he stretched my my front back because he was kind of find out what was wrong.

[00:14:09] And when he said that I cried but I was like no, I believe that there's there's got to be something better. There's got to be a reason why.

[00:14:18] I'm telling myself this, but the point I want to say is that if I would have said it sat down in the sidelines that day and not played because I had heard that my dreams were over.

[00:14:29] I probably wouldn't be talking to you today.

[00:14:32] Wow.

[00:14:33] And it's about mindset and I think that everybody has the power to use it.

[00:14:39] And somehow you know, even when I was meditating and my I lived in the cave in the orphanage. This was an amount of it was my secret hiding place to kind of get away from everything.

[00:14:50] And I remember using my mind and writing my goals and doing things that I later read in books.

[00:14:56] This is why I really think that everybody has access to bigger and greater things that we don't even realize we have, but you know we just have to quiet our minds and and really think there's two ways of thinking positive and negative.

[00:15:13] One or the other cannot coexist at the same time in the mind.

[00:15:16] So the one that you focus on most is the wolf you feed the most.

[00:15:20] And you know, there's been a lot of people that have come out the orphanage and some a lot of people that didn't make it.

[00:15:28] And in people ask me a lot how come you were able to overcome?

[00:15:33] And I think that when you produce thoughts in your mind constantly, even if it takes years, things eventually happen.

[00:15:42] But when you're out, you have been able to manifest so many things by continuing to use that.

[00:15:47] And it's been my greatest gift but it's not just my gift. It's everybody's gift. We just don't really realize that.

[00:15:55] Do you mean obviously your story is incredible and I will encourage every single person to click the links right below right to continue to learn about you, your stories, see your videos and what you have out there.

[00:16:05] And hopefully they see you in person right on your gigs all around the country that I'm sure this isn't an incredible experience.

[00:16:13] And there's certain parts of your story when we were chatting that first time that I personally relate to right, I broke my collar bones and same thing.

[00:16:20] Like I'm not near as successful at you as you are Maggie, but there's some traits of things that we're manifesting and working our way through.

[00:16:28] I mean, I remember our mother like very young she told us you guys are really good at manifesting things like the thing that you want right and I was like wow and he wasn't until later in life that I actually recognize that I was like okay.

[00:16:41] I'm going to lean in into that very heavily or you know emailing every single coach to come on play soccer on a scholarship right.

[00:16:49] You was like on that tour you didn't refuse like we got injured we got a scholarship denied and we're like I'm going to do it again right type of deal so there's like these parallels where I felt so close to you in that sense and I'm sure everybody listening maybe it's not the same sport maybe it's not the same situation per se but it's like we are going to get hit many times and we were on a podcast maybe a couple days ago that we're talking.

[00:17:14] Blessings in disguise right and at the moment they might seem like the world is over nothing will happen to us and then what happens is like that event triggers the next level up moment or opportunity right we have to be aware and I love that you your mindset we call that table face like you're like I'm going for that opportunity it got a double that's in the Spanish right I'm going for that I'm I refuse to believe what other people are saying like because I know I'm capable.

[00:17:40] And you know on our line of business with content and putting your message out there sometimes is a mental is a big mental game right some people have very polarizing messages or like maybe they're selling a product that they truly believe that they help people right and is the mental capacity that may be stopping their growth or company growth to put that message out there so coming from a third world country right we both relate to that when I think when we first came here we talked about this often where.

[00:18:10] We we felt like we were playing hard like on level hard back home and then we come here and it becomes a little bit easier in a sense right because over there you might be worried obviously your your your stories very extreme but we lived in a dictatorship right so.

[00:18:27] There might be days that you have to do a line of five days to to put gasoline right or you can find the products or like obviously the oppression with education like all these things and then you come to a place like United States.

[00:18:38] It was inundated with opportunities right I'm like oh my gosh this is an incredible place for us to grow and and build what we want to build on help more people.

[00:18:49] On your side when you saw that and then now you're speaking in this country internationally like why do you say those people that they might not have the reference that maybe you had with you know your own personal situation how do we trigger that because I now have kids and they're growing up here in the city.

[00:19:07] And that's one of my biggest worries right like how do we I had that experience so I know the reference.

[00:19:14] What do you recommend or what do you say to those people.

[00:19:18] I really believe this and it might become a contradictory to some people but I really believe that unless you have suffered some you will appreciate.

[00:19:31] Unless you have gone through adversity you'd become more triumphant because you appreciate those things and you learn from those things and sometimes you have to do that for yourself over over and over again for your kids to let them see.

[00:19:46] One of the things that I did when I was in college is I took a group of athletes because I was part of a fellowship of Christian athletes I was a vice president.

[00:19:54] And we took them to Mexico to build homes for the poorest of the poor like stick homes.

[00:20:00] And there's no running water no toilets nothing and they came back changed.

[00:20:06] And I'm like yeah guys this is how I grew up and without resistance of some sort but it's teachable you're not going to grow.

[00:20:17] And I do this with myself every single day if it's with working out with you know eating with different things I continue to do that because if you don't flex that muscle.

[00:20:27] It's not going to grow and it's a mindset muscle it's being you know who you are as a person that you you know because everything no matter what you focus on.

[00:20:38] It could be financially it could be mentally it could be healthy could be family you have to be willing to step outside the comfort zone yeah really able to see the other sign with a brighter sense of you know lightness.

[00:20:53] Yeah absolutely I'm sorry it actually reminds me this past holidays I was in Virginia visiting my girlfriend's family and one of her uncles he was talking pretty much about life and he's so easy going but he was talking how he's passed he was you know crazy.

[00:21:07] And he was getting all sorts of trouble and I can I ask him what changed I thought it was just aging you know like what changed your life.

[00:21:17] And he told me the Navy change means like I went to I think it was Pakistan and some other place and he said I saw people on the streets you know fighting for cardboard on what to sleep.

[00:21:30] And he's like that thing changed me I came back my mom he's like my mom told me that I was changed and it goes and in how what you said right kind of like experiencing that looking at those things definitely change your perspective.

[00:21:44] I think my question goes to obviously there's people that have experienced those things and they get stuck in those places maybe let's call those negative loopholes and there's people experience those and then they actually put that

[00:21:57] to you know fuel their purpose fuel their mission or fuel whatever it is they want to do next in life.

[00:22:04] I guess I wonder why you know again there's many kids that were in that orphanage that were potentially in the same situation

[00:22:14] and like you mentioned some made it some didn't.

[00:22:17] Yeah.

[00:22:18] Why do you think separates you know that because obviously I'm going to relate this a little bit to the contents out of things too.

[00:22:26] Business entrepreneurs right we face problems we face challenges and it is easy sometimes to get stuck in a negative loophole of thinking right and you know all things are not going my way I'm experiencing all these problems right and then we just

[00:22:42] get stuck in there so how do people get out of it how do people decide to you know what I'm actually going to do X Y and C for the long term because again it's not like a one time solution to and how I avoid falling back into those negative loopholes.

[00:23:00] I mean that's a great question and for me the way that I would answer it for myself and I know I've known this is that it all comes down to purpose in passion because if you know what that is you might need a discovery or rediscovery if you know what that is.

[00:23:21] And then your laser sharp focus on the outcome of that instead of worrying about all the problems and all the things and all the what I'm not in when you have that laser target focus all you do is think about how to get closer to it fast or faster and make an impact with it.

[00:23:37] That's the difference between people who are having tremendously amazing lives that are following there because it'll come sound to meaning too like that purpose is giving you meaning if you don't have if you have a

[00:23:50] purpose or you think you have a purpose but you don't have meaning behind it is not never going to be strong enough and then you're going to wander off.

[00:23:56] Yeah, no that's really the major difference.

[00:23:59] Yeah I found it very challenging times you know I opening up here a little bit on the on the podcast but no I found it challenging to found some purpose I would say you know like I love helping people don't get me wrong.

[00:24:15] I love when you know having converse I love the podcasting knowing that you know your story is going to inspire many people.

[00:24:22] I love when I'm on a one-on-one call with their client and you know I'm getting to exercise they creative also knowing you know that it's going to benefit them but at the same time

[00:24:33] I don't know I feel some sort of challenge on finding that purpose and I asked myself that I was like what is it you know like I grew up my whole life thinking that my purpose was to play professional soccer and it didn't happen life changes you know

[00:24:49] and then I was like okay I feel like I'd be known a constant surge for purpose right now I do like what oh yeah go ahead.

[00:24:58] If you were to if you knew that you're going to die tomorrow what would you do today.

[00:25:04] Oh my gosh you see I'm like I love doing so many things.

[00:25:09] You will be asking for three days I mean I think I'm more days I mean if I was going to die tomorrow I would love to spend time with my loved ones as a no number one right

[00:25:19] I would love to see my family again you know they're back in Venezuela.

[00:25:23] Be my brother in a game obviously I would like to travel and you know experience more environments of joy with you know watching my professional team that I support.

[00:25:36] I don't know and you know that is that is a challenge I know you know Barton I've talked about this with him it's like I've never or at least I felt I feel great when I help people right I'm like

[00:25:48] this is so amazing I love it I love the feeling of it but at the same time I don't know when I try to think of like a grand purpose of like I want to go back home and rebuild you know let's say

[00:26:01] grad root soccer which is something I love soccer.

[00:26:05] At this point in my life I don't feel that yet and I think it's because of the needs that I have now this moment right and to relate this to the audience

[00:26:16] I feel free to disagree if you want to of course like I feel like people are stuck in certain places in their life that they're immediate need takes away from finding some sort of bigger purpose that might drive them right

[00:26:30] It's almost like I don't have time for my purpose right now because I have so many needs right and you know to relate this a little bit to your story from what I read is

[00:26:40] you know obviously you had these struggles challenges then homelessness you went on to win a contest I gave you like 800 bucks to start your own business

[00:26:50] but I'm not sure and I would love to know if at that point in life your purpose was you know I want to inspire right I want to go back to Mexico and you know help children or at that point in time you had a different purpose which then once you took care of you know those immediate needs that you had the purpose evolved as well.

[00:27:09] Yes my purpose when I started my salsa company was to prove my father wrong but it was based on fear and it only went so far.

[00:27:19] Yeah that's why that's why when I let that go everything fell into place in every because when you're on purpose it's all about energy really

[00:27:29] yeah everything begins to fall into place and the reason why I wanted to prove him wrong is because he told me that I would never amount to anything that I would die in prison and with AIDS

[00:27:41] because I came out to him as gay and so when I when he he never recognized my success until a week before he passed and he wrote me a letter telling me

[00:27:55] I want to cry I have a letter here you want me to read it yeah yeah absolutely beautiful yeah absolutely I take it with me everywhere

[00:28:11] everywhere it's 2009 he passed I don't know if you can see that yeah yeah and he said Maggie I am so proud of you you won't

[00:28:25] know what I mean but you're from the old school from the old generation maybe 50 years back the generation that had that

[00:28:32] work ethic and discipline most of all a dream and willingness to labor and make that dream into a reality you are so cut up in what you're doing at this moment that you can't

[00:28:41] find them or you'll be in 5 15 in 25 years because of your willingness it's going to be big America needs people like you

[00:28:51] and your values passed on if it is to survive you are one big asset to everyone in your life sweetheart I'm really proud of you

[00:28:59] wow wow so when when he passed my biggest challenge was who am I going to prove wrong now

[00:29:09] yeah so I had to do a rediscovery and I realized that salsa was just a stepping stone stepping stones

[00:29:20] with something bear which is what I'm doing in stages now and you know speaking inspiration and transformation

[00:29:28] helping audiences around the world and it's been quite a blessing it's in everything that I've suffered in the past

[00:29:36] it's been sort of how they say my mass my story right yeah everything has been a blessing because of the hardships that I had and

[00:29:47] it's the only way that I can relate to people and really create greater transformations because I've been through a lot and people can relate to that

[00:29:57] so rediscovery was the most key single thing that I could ever do for myself because I'd redirected see your body your spiritual

[00:30:14] spiritual self is like a GPS it's always guiding you to that ultimate purpose but we don't really listen and we might go like a GPS around but even if you get derailed

[00:30:26] and bad things happen it's always redirecting you to that center focus if we would just listen to our intuition to our guidance system

[00:30:35] and sometimes you need to go through stuff you know to come out the other side and be a better brighter person but not only that

[00:30:48] see I really believe that you have a purpose tremendously because what you're doing is touching a lot of people's lives

[00:30:57] that just this conversation is a purpose so if you think you don't have a purpose think again because that's how I see it

[00:31:08] and I know that other people see it that way now another thing if you wanted to to re-center because you could be purposeful in like the will of balance in life

[00:31:19] in business family all these different things right because one of the things that you don't want to do is get at that old age and be laying on your bed saying I wish I did this

[00:31:29] I wish I did that it doesn't have to be just one thing you know you can play at many different things and let it you have to play

[00:31:37] because that's really what matters what matters every single moment that you're breathing and living because you're going to remember that before you go

[00:31:47] yeah that's awesome I thank you for sharing especially that letter with your dad

[00:31:54] you know I keep get a kid telling Faunce is like things you'll see things different as soon as you find out you have a kid

[00:32:04] he doesn't have to have to and to me I was you know is that what you're saying that you've suffered and that's how you find your

[00:32:13] bro that's true too but but I think like for me when that happened it brought ton of clarity to and it's one of those levels right where

[00:32:30] I put something I can find that the actual note that I read here but it's almost like those challenges like those darker times is an indicator that you will write you

[00:32:45] you will you will it's a good thing right out here the problem is an indicator that we're about to grow right so it's almost like the problem is not the thing if the problem comes perfect that means that I'm at the edge of growing up

[00:32:59] you know I'm not going to be able to do that because I'm not going to be able to do that because I'm not going to be able to do that

[00:33:09] and I remember when Luca when Katie called us and because we're in Starbucks at that night the working late I think it was like APM and she goes hey I have a surprise for you

[00:33:16] really and she didn't say anything but I kind of knew it I started like shaking very nervous and I was kind of like in the state of shock I came home first and she told me we both like were like in shock

[00:33:28] because we were not planning and not expecting it right and then Fonsey came and he cried like a baby too and you know but I remember that night I almost didn't sleep but it was recognizing I'm being aware of that moment

[00:33:39] whereas like wow while we've been doing now it's like it's real right it's like so real that now like this little dude is about to be born in a few months

[00:33:50] like it depends on us so for me that was a big thing right or when we moved overseas we're like while we're on our own

[00:33:57] and there's these things that can be really scary for a lot of people right but as you do them more often right or if you face them more often

[00:34:06] you start building these resilience as well right I remember right after college we started doing Spartan races on tough motors

[00:34:13] because we're playing from soccer and we're like searching for that physical challenge and I remember listening to Joe DeSena

[00:34:19] like the CEO of Spartan he's like be comfortable being uncomfortable and you know we started with like a five mile race

[00:34:25] and then we did a 10 mile and then we did like a 20 mile and then we did eight hour and then a 24 hour

[00:34:30] right and it's just an exercise for what's coming in life right we start tackling these challenges little by little so on my side is help me a ton tackle like a smaller challenge

[00:34:41] and then the next one and kind of seen that ladder towards like the bigger goal right so we started we wanted to build a business

[00:34:47] so what do we you know what do we do maybe we sell small product maybe we offer a small service and then he grows and then the team grows

[00:34:53] and then the new challenges come so obviously the people that we talk to or they listen to show they're in that spot of like they want maybe they have a business goal

[00:35:03] they have a money goal right they have a purpose that maybe it's very solid for them why do you recommend to them as like if it feels like very overwhelming

[00:35:15] because on my side if it feels very overwhelming I'm very big is very exciting I don't know if that's the same for a lot of people right

[00:35:22] how do you break it down to ensure success and to to complete the manifestation

[00:35:29] I call it baby steps of courage

[00:35:33] you can't run a marathon if you've never ran a sprint before and some people are comfortable with that that's totally fine

[00:35:42] but for those who are struggling with that I think the problem with that a lot of people have is they have so many things that they want to do because

[00:35:50] they just discover something and they don't even know where to start because there's just so much so I would say pick one

[00:35:57] maybe could be the simplest one and like you said what's the next big you know big thing that I do and it doesn't you don't have to eat the whole elephant in one bite

[00:36:06] you can start small and that's really the difference between success and failure for many people because

[00:36:13] overwhelming will lead you to fail

[00:36:17] yeah absolutely

[00:36:19] it's a mentality thing

[00:36:21] yeah yeah definitely we've heard it a lot of times about mindset right I'm not working like you man

[00:36:29] there's so many distractions nowadays right and I'm not putting this as an excuse out there but there are a lot of things that

[00:36:37] take away your attention from you know putting intention into things

[00:36:43] and I personally believe the more I see it in my life I'm like wow this is this is a problem right

[00:36:50] when moments that I have responsibilities things that I need to do and my attention goes through something else

[00:36:56] right and then I catch myself and then it's like all right well now I need to make a decision

[00:37:00] but at the same time I believe it's also learning how to manage your energy as well

[00:37:06] right because when you're faced with some decisions and you're tired later during the day

[00:37:11] you might make the wrong choice and then feel guilty about it and you know you can go into other things

[00:37:17] so I'm curious right I thought your life seems that you know also live of exerting a lot of energy

[00:37:24] you know when you were in the orphanage a lot of energy into you know probably protecting yourself

[00:37:30] right then when you were in here on the on the states I read that you didn't know the language at first

[00:37:36] right and you know going into a whole new school that takes a lot of energy

[00:37:41] right like being homeless right how much energy you're infusing into thinking about a survival ship

[00:37:50] right what am I gonna do next where am I gonna sleep next yet you seem to have taken the right choices

[00:37:56] that led you know on the path that you are right now so I'm curious to learn a little bit about that

[00:38:04] in your life around energy right how do you conserve your energy how do you apply your energy

[00:38:10] to the things that you know are gonna move you forward

[00:38:14] That's a such a great question as far as I think now the at this time in my life I'm 44 years old

[00:38:24] and I've rediscovered the source of energy because as you age things changing your body

[00:38:30] I had to turn to health and well being a wellness

[00:38:34] what I eat nutraceuticals everything that I do include including my morning routine if I don't do that every day

[00:38:40] yeah I have my energy will slow and it's so much different now than it was then back then was I want to be I want to become

[00:38:48] I want to be something bigger than myself and that was what kept me going

[00:38:53] there was a pivotal moment when I was in the orphanage I was about eight years old

[00:38:58] and my caregiver he gave medical attention to the poor for free every Sunday

[00:39:03] and one Sunday like people come like from 4 a.m. and sometimes you would finish at midnight or later

[00:39:10] but this one Sunday he had very few patients and this woman came out of the clinic and with two kids

[00:39:17] and I was coming down because the house was about a quarter mile from where the clinic was in the mountains

[00:39:23] and I came down the hill and he looked at me and he says can you tell how poor these people are?

[00:39:30] And I said no, he says look at their hair it's so thin and brittle and yellow

[00:39:35] and I said look at the kids' bellies they're malnourished look at their shoes, their sandals

[00:39:40] I mean and I remember him grabbing me and squeezing my head he was a big guy

[00:39:44] I felt like he was going to pop my head and he said I never want you to be that poor

[00:39:50] and then he turned around and gave them like here's some vessels so you get out right back

[00:39:56] because they didn't even have money to for right back and vessels for some tacos

[00:40:00] so I remember very clearly I turned around and I looked at the skies and I had a stick

[00:40:07] and I remember I said to myself I remember this moment forever

[00:40:11] and I was poking leaves through the stick and then I stopped and I said

[00:40:16] I'm going to be something bigger than myself because someday I'm going to come out of here

[00:40:22] I'm going to show people so I had that burning desire throughout until I came here to America

[00:40:29] because I made a decision then that no matter what happened that I was going to stay focused

[00:40:36] because I saw so much bad things and it was sort of like a huge a home when I ate years old

[00:40:44] that changed everything in my life and that was my source of energy

[00:40:49] the thing about focus is you have to remember to remember see every day I see my vision, my focus

[00:40:58] when you do that there's less chances of you bearing away or how do you say getting out of the path

[00:41:05] because you're looking at it and you see all the potential that you could be

[00:41:10] and that is something bigger if you can achieve something that seems bigger than yourself

[00:41:16] because you're actually serving humanity and doing something like that

[00:41:19] then to me that's the greatest fulfillment that I can have the greatest happiness that comes to me

[00:41:26] nothing else money nothing is the source of happiness but doing something bigger

[00:41:33] and for some people is to being being remembered in history

[00:41:37] but all that matters is what's happening right now because you're alive

[00:41:42] yeah that's amazing have you had

[00:41:47] because I'm sure you felt it like from that moment your source of energy

[00:41:52] and then probably growing up you also saw moments in your mind where you're like I'm going to be there

[00:41:57] or you just share a couple of those right and deep down you're like you see the ampere

[00:42:03] but you don't see the road ahead you're like I'm assuming you trust is going to happen

[00:42:08] I'm going to be doing my baby steps and it's going to happen

[00:42:12] and this happens a lot at home with me right me and my wife are very different

[00:42:17] and she's very logical I'm very emotional

[00:42:20] and we're learning like especially with this new phase of entrepreneurship to communicate a lot better

[00:42:25] but I also see it with other people in the environment that we might be in

[00:42:29] or even with our own families right they're like that's where when I go I know I will be there

[00:42:35] but how are you going to do it? I don't know but I know I will be there

[00:42:39] and there's a lot of people that kind of stop at that point

[00:42:42] or they don't even dream to go in that for their like in their businesses

[00:42:47] or the things that they're doing in their content

[00:42:49] we deal with this every single day because we work with a lot of creators

[00:42:52] but what do we want to create?

[00:42:54] and I think that's why I think where I really like Fonsi's handle

[00:42:58] because he says Fonsi creates and then I was like can I use it too?

[00:43:01] We can create not only content but also our vision or life

[00:43:06] and I think our whole journey coming to a say is a whole different thing

[00:43:11] but how do we actually go ahead and help people

[00:43:19] and force it?

[00:43:20] I'm doing our quotations right because I see loved ones

[00:43:23] or we let it be, I have that personal conflict sometimes

[00:43:28] whether with a family or with a client

[00:43:30] well if they want to do it they'll do it

[00:43:32] but we know that there's so much potential

[00:43:34] and they can actually achieve it if we go do that

[00:43:36] here's a very crazy practical like small example

[00:43:39] where I was driving home with my wife and my mother-in-law

[00:43:43] and this happened a few years back

[00:43:45] we didn't even have the studio at that point

[00:43:47] we were freelancing and we were dreaming

[00:43:50] I was dreaming as we do on road trips

[00:43:52] on where are we going to live right

[00:43:54] and I was sharing like how could it be to have this house

[00:43:57] with you know the puzzle room and the gaming room

[00:44:00] like lense we can do a soccer field

[00:44:02] and they have the, you know, we didn't think about having kids at that point

[00:44:06] but it was something like that where I seem to my wife

[00:44:09] and my mother-in-law very overwhelming at the moment

[00:44:11] right and they started thinking like oh my god how much is that going to be

[00:44:14] right and I'm like I don't care

[00:44:16] like whatever like we'll figure out probably I don't know

[00:44:19] three million and you know if we were making like a thousand bucks extra a month

[00:44:23] that day was way too much right

[00:44:25] but I remember that moment because I clicked for me

[00:44:29] because like some people have it or some people don't

[00:44:33] and I was like wow the people that have it

[00:44:36] and are aware of it are in such an advantage today

[00:44:40] because they can move so much faster towards those goals

[00:44:43] and it will become possible right

[00:44:46] so how do you manage your environment to put yourself in a position

[00:44:49] where like that doesn't affect you too much

[00:44:51] right because you might be in a family that you share those things

[00:44:54] and maybe that's crazy that's impossible

[00:44:56] you're never gonna do a right for you you use it as fuel

[00:44:59] but so many others that overwhelms them and then they stop the dreaming

[00:45:04] right how do you manage that

[00:45:06] how do you change environments

[00:45:08] this is why sometimes when you dream big

[00:45:10] you shouldn't share it with people that don't believe in you

[00:45:13] because they're just going to bring you down

[00:45:16] I didn't care I shared my wins that already happened

[00:45:20] but that hadn't happened with my friends like be careful

[00:45:23] you may not get it so I learned to stop sharing with those that weren't aligned

[00:45:28] but it is all about focus because the people

[00:45:33] the doers that do get there do one thing in common

[00:45:37] and that is they know their focus

[00:45:39] and they meditate upon that focus

[00:45:42] and what happens something very magical

[00:45:45] people places in circumstances start to show up

[00:45:49] and then the next thing that happened

[00:45:51] ideas they're massive action takers

[00:45:54] so when they take that action

[00:45:57] that just moves them closer to because

[00:45:59] you know I didn't know how either right

[00:46:02] but when you just meditate upon it

[00:46:05] just close your eyes even if you can't meditate

[00:46:07] and think about that goal

[00:46:09] and who could come into my life

[00:46:11] you're so hyper focused

[00:46:13] that you're aware of those things

[00:46:15] let me give you an example

[00:46:17] when you wanted that car

[00:46:19] and it was a nice car

[00:46:21] and you focused on it

[00:46:23] all of the same cars with the same color start showing up on the road

[00:46:26] oh 100%

[00:46:28] you notice them

[00:46:29] that's what happens when you laser sharp focus

[00:46:31] and what you want

[00:46:32] because you'll recognize those opportunities

[00:46:34] whether it wears if you're not focused

[00:46:37] you'll miss them

[00:46:38] yeah and that's the difference

[00:46:40] yeah we actually we actually went like I'm obsessed

[00:46:42] I was obsessed with Jeepers

[00:46:44] so my older brother have a Jeep

[00:46:45] he's 16 years older than me

[00:46:47] and I was like that's my dream car

[00:46:49] when we came here to the sale

[00:46:50] I'm like I want it right

[00:46:51] I need nothing crazy

[00:46:52] not a super car

[00:46:53] but it's like the Jeep

[00:46:54] and I remember like we have in the conversation

[00:46:56] and the one time we went to the auto show

[00:46:59] here in Jacksonville

[00:47:00] it's a very small auto show

[00:47:02] we went straight to the Jeep

[00:47:03] and we sat inside of the Jeep

[00:47:05] and we grabbed the wheel

[00:47:07] and we felt it

[00:47:08] and I remember being just there

[00:47:10] like this is how it feels

[00:47:12] to be inside of one

[00:47:14] and it happened

[00:47:15] right like you know

[00:47:16] I was at a job at the time

[00:47:18] can I tell you something

[00:47:20] what you did

[00:47:22] and I encouraged people to do this

[00:47:24] and I did this and you can read in my book

[00:47:26] yeah what you did is called

[00:47:27] inspired action

[00:47:29] inspired action

[00:47:31] you actually went

[00:47:32] touched it

[00:47:33] and got inspired by that action

[00:47:35] to bring you closer to that

[00:47:37] which you want

[00:47:39] that's what you did

[00:47:41] that's so cool

[00:47:43] yeah I actually saw

[00:47:45] I think you know

[00:47:47] within the context of what we're talking

[00:47:49] I think it can share this with

[00:47:51] you know the listener

[00:47:53] we can turn it into a way

[00:47:55] a sort of a tool for them

[00:47:57] to practice this

[00:47:59] right because

[00:48:00] it is a challenge

[00:48:02] I've done you know

[00:48:03] division boards

[00:48:04] I have them in my background

[00:48:06] you know I have them in my phone

[00:48:08] and I have them in my phone

[00:48:10] and I have them in my phone

[00:48:12] and I have had a lot of

[00:48:14] you know the steps

[00:48:16] or manifesting

[00:48:18] and I still personally

[00:48:20] have a difficult time

[00:48:21] challenge sometimes

[00:48:22] to intentionally concentrate

[00:48:24] on that right

[00:48:26] can I give you a tip

[00:48:28] 100%

[00:48:30] get rid of your vision board

[00:48:32] and create an action board

[00:48:34] because action board

[00:48:36] will take you to inspire the action

[00:48:37] It's going to take you closer faster because you're actually taking action on something.

[00:48:44] I don't know how to explain it, it seems like a miracle but it's happened to me so many

[00:48:49] times and through that process you actually realize and figure out oh that wasn't that important

[00:48:56] therefore it goes away.

[00:48:58] And then you kind of shave off the things that don't work and really focus on the things

[00:49:03] that do and it makes it so much more powerful.

[00:49:06] So in an action board you'll put the things that you're going to go do.

[00:49:09] Right?

[00:49:10] So like for example let's say we would like to own a family farm here in Florida where

[00:49:15] we can just go play and have fun and whatever.

[00:49:18] Go to the place, experience like the location, go talk to the dancers, touch the dirt.

[00:49:24] Okay.

[00:49:25] Okay.

[00:49:26] Cool cool.

[00:49:27] I like that.

[00:49:28] I like that.

[00:49:29] I know.

[00:49:30] I have a new task here.

[00:49:31] I love it.

[00:49:32] All right.

[00:49:33] So we're all going with that and thank you so much.

[00:49:35] I really appreciate it.

[00:49:36] I will definitely take on your advice and I will grab my vision board and turn it into

[00:49:43] an action board.

[00:49:44] Why can't I do, you know, that will help me get closer to those things?

[00:49:48] And one of the challenges I was talking about was the constant remembering of these things.

[00:49:53] Again we have, we're flooded with messages with things that we have to do.

[00:49:58] You know with people that we have to hang out or do things whatever right?

[00:50:02] Everybody's life is different but we get to.

[00:50:04] Exactly, we get to right?

[00:50:06] We get to do all these things but at the same time again it takes away from your energy.

[00:50:13] So then I feel like you or not you like people push aside remembering what they want right

[00:50:20] there why or their mission all this things rather purpose and I sure something.

[00:50:26] Absolutely yeah.

[00:50:29] I do this every single day.

[00:50:31] Okay?

[00:50:32] This helps me remember to remember it's a power card.

[00:50:36] It's basically like it's short as a business card and both in teeny tiny letter with lines

[00:50:44] and you write on both sides and that helps me remember to remember to stay focused on

[00:50:50] what I want because business card why because you can put it on your wallet, you can and pull

[00:50:55] it out whenever this is what very successful people do.

[00:50:59] And it could change for you, it could change on the weekly bay and that's totally fine.

[00:51:04] But when you do that you pull it out as a matter of fact my first like I write in code

[00:51:11] and my first thing that I say is for example the first one is I have it's access to infinite

[00:51:19] intel.

[00:51:20] So my before word is I believe that I have access to infinite intelligence.

[00:51:24] I believe so I'm writing short things so I fit more right the other one I'm already

[00:51:30] another one broadcast antenna right and now I say to myself I know what that is and I

[00:51:35] say I believe that I'm a broadcast antenna noticed noticed and discovered by the world

[00:51:39] so that I can make an impact for inspiration.

[00:51:44] So if you did something like this and cut it and put it in the back actually creating

[00:51:49] a product for this for people.

[00:51:51] I was going to be like where can we buy the power cards from you Maggie please.

[00:51:58] That's so amazing.

[00:51:59] Yeah that's incredible.

[00:52:02] Yeah I have something again I don't have something to that extent I have something digitally

[00:52:07] is I can alarm the pops every hour and when I click it I have my things.

[00:52:13] And I will say like a lot of times I do it and there's a lot of time still that I don't

[00:52:18] right.

[00:52:20] And this is not like one size fits all solution because again we have a lot of elements

[00:52:28] in here right we have energy right we have purpose like all these variables at a point

[00:52:35] in time cause you to make some sort of choice whether you know I read this or whether

[00:52:41] I don't read this but the other else watching a video where it was talking about how boredom

[00:52:47] is good you know and the guy said in the video boredom is not a bad thing.

[00:52:51] Yes he can lead to bad habits and behaviors but he can also lead to deep thinking self

[00:52:55] knowledge and development of your own ideas.

[00:52:58] And I read I was like wow how am I using boredom in my life right and I've noticed that sometimes

[00:53:05] boredom might cause me to you know let me just grab the phone as an instant reflex and scroll

[00:53:11] through social media or you know some sort of bad behavior non productive behavior.

[00:53:17] So I started to think okay cool well why can I do instead and the guy actually on that

[00:53:22] video he talks about this book that he keeps at I used to write all my notes in paper

[00:53:27] right and I think I might go back to that I gotta see how I manage I'm a nerd on when

[00:53:32] it comes to you know imagine information but I did like writing things in the book well

[00:53:38] this guy had a book that he calls it contemplation which is Latin for contemplation right not

[00:53:44] that crazy the translation but regardless the guy what he had in that book was like quotes

[00:53:50] that he wanted to think on like this things reminders for him to again know himself better

[00:53:57] deep think and he had some spacing there as well to reflect so whenever he find himself

[00:54:02] getting bored rather than pulling out his phone and looking for social media he would

[00:54:07] grab this and start reading thread and start reminding him so I think that's kind of

[00:54:11] like the power card that you have is what is a tool that you know you the listener can develop

[00:54:18] for yourself or you know get the power cards from Maggie and you can start consistently

[00:54:24] reminding yourself of those visions those things that you want to do.

[00:54:29] I'm gonna paint the dark side of it which I think is just came to my head right.

[00:54:36] I feel in a way society tells us that when you're tired you need to disconnect so the

[00:54:40] disconnect and looks like Netflix and consuming things right and I think we need in a way

[00:54:48] to rewrite what that concept of disconnecting looks like because again that's where I

[00:54:55] think those bad decisions comes with boredom hit it's like well I want to disconnect I don't

[00:54:59] want to engage my mind in anything now sometimes we go on we play board games which I love again

[00:55:04] that goes hand in hand with sharing time with my loved ones right I go and kick their butt

[00:55:08] in board games heck yeah but you know there's other moments where I'm like oh wow I need to disconnect

[00:55:15] and I think that time could be used with more purpose and more intentional too you know grab

[00:55:21] potential contemplatio book and be like okay let me think about this stuff right let me let me

[00:55:27] remind myself of my action board right let me remind myself of the things that I want to do

[00:55:32] rather than and I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with this right like it's good obviously

[00:55:36] to be entertained once in a while watch TV and whatnot but rather than looking for those you know

[00:55:42] alternatives that really are not like building up towards your life so I guess where I want to go

[00:55:48] with this my main question for you is somebody that is in that spot right because I believe that

[00:55:53] I'm very aware of this situation you know where I'm when I find myself in that spot I'm like all right

[00:55:59] what do I do right and I found myself taking the you know the wrong choice multiple times so

[00:56:06] somebody that I they're aware that my fandoms of in this situation how do they cope with this and

[00:56:11] maybe if they take the wrong choice you know maybe they start beating themselves up and and feel a

[00:56:17] little guilty about it you know how do they go about that how do they go about moving forward even

[00:56:22] if sometimes you make you know wrong choices so it's about self reflection here and this is the kind

[00:56:28] of like a bigger bigger part of becoming successful is that who you are today is a result of all

[00:56:37] the habits that you've formed since what you live with your parents and what you saw in the world

[00:56:43] and how you experienced the world with your eyes because your experiences are completely different

[00:56:50] right so if you the thing is you have to delegate time to just say I'm going to sit down and reflect

[00:56:59] upon this and say why is this happening to me is this a pattern that I can recognize it's repeated

[00:57:04] over and over in my past maybe it wasn't Netflix maybe it was something else it was available

[00:57:10] and have I fed that or you know do I have a chance to break this now um I I have this

[00:57:18] beautiful journal I call it the University Journal and I provided it to my clients in the past and

[00:57:26] the three things that I write every day and every night is reflect because I like to reflect on

[00:57:32] my life because I always learning and growing yeah release the three hours reflect release is the

[00:57:39] second one because if anything kind of felt stuck or is holding me back I'm going to release it to

[00:57:45] the universe and then the the other three the other R is request because now I'm requesting to

[00:57:53] the universe all the things that I do want but the reflection part really helps me to see okay how

[00:57:58] did my day go and I do it by listening to my intuition my guidance system because if I feel off

[00:58:03] I listen to that and then I talk about it here I write about it and this helps me come through

[00:58:09] and actually heal you're doing a lot of healing habits have to be healed yes if you want to be successful

[00:58:17] and that's one of the things unfortunately a lot of people don't really pay attention to that

[00:58:22] to these sort of things unless they've had rock bottom yeah right when they hit rock bottom that's

[00:58:27] when people have immediate huge transformations yeah but you have to be mindful to remember to remember

[00:58:34] that hey today I need a look at my life and see where this is coming from and I don't want to repeat

[00:58:40] this you have the choice to break the cycles we all have the power to do that and maybe what you do

[00:58:46] is add one thing that's new that's different to replace that one thing that you know that by doing

[00:58:52] it it's going to change everything about who you are because it makes you a better person yeah

[00:58:57] oh so good fun fact actually Apple just released a journaling app on the phone like this morning

[00:59:04] I was looking at my phone I was like wait I never downloaded a journal app in here like what is

[00:59:08] this thing and they have a journal app so maybe we can you know start doing the three hours in there

[00:59:13] and that actually get me to ask are those three hours you know part of what you talk about in your

[00:59:19] book decoding success the three hours of highly successful people no that's totally different

[00:59:24] different yeah okay cool cool so what we're gonna be doing guys is putting all the links right below
